After the Fight
Back of the Arena
Jay's POV:The fight ended, Meech left, and all of the guests left the arena...
Why am I still here? Why don't we ask Mr. Brown?
Well... he's pretty furious right now so we shouldn't ask him anything actually.
As I stood by the door, Chris paced back and forth in front of the crew.
It's very secluded back here by the loading docks...
"Now, earlier, I said that I was supposed to have six bricks... for some reason, there were only five in the bag." He said with an elevated tone as he continued to pace.
He was in a black, short-sleeved shirt that hugged his muscular frame. The Cuban links on his chain glistened and the diamonds on his watch flashed.
This man was a walking full course meal.
It's just that this is a serious matter... and I've witnessed a tiny chunk of his bad side. I don't know what's gonna happen next.
I didn't wanna start trouble... but because I have some feelings towards Chris and I respect him as a businessman, I felt like he deserved to know who was lying to him. They could jeopardize things and Chris is very clean and precise on the business he tends to. I didn't want him to be at risk for anything else to get stolen.
"I said that I wanted some fuckin' answers by the time the fight was over. Don't seem like it's niggas throwin' gloves and I don't fuckin' see people in my arena. So, somebody better start spilling some shit or I'll do the spilling." Chris said with hostility as he pulled out the gun from his waistband.
We heard him cock it and place a silencer around the barrel. My pulse started racing as I observed his every move.
"Boss I honestly don't know... I had nothing to do with it." One of them said.
"Well something had to happen to it. After the drop was made, it was six in there. So, how the hell one just come up missing by the time it came to the penthouse? It ain't just magically walk away." Justin said as Chris started getting impatient.
"So nobody here knows?" Chris asked.
The guys stayed quiet.
"Carlos... you know anything?" Chris asked while running his fingers across his beard hairs.
"Nah man... I wish I did." He said as Chris chuckled heavily.
Suddenly, Chris raised his gun, aimed it at Carlos' knee, and shot him point blank in the cap.
I jumped from the sight and I covered my mouth.
Carlos fell to the ground and shouted in anguish.
Chris scratched the back of his head while he formulated his next words.
"I don't respond well to lies because it makes me think that y'all feel like I'm stupid or some shit... I'm far from it. Lorenz, imma ask you and imma ask you one time..." Chris said approaching him as Renz looked like he had seen a ghost.
"Did you know about him taking it?" Chris asked.
Please don't lie.
"He told me that he took it to pay off a debt. I told him it wasn't a good idea and he wouldn't listen to me." Lorenz said shakily as Chris stared at him without breaking eye contact.
"You didn't wanna tell me what he did? You was just gone let some shit like that slide?" Chris asked as he pistol whipped him against his nose causing Lorenz to hold it... groaning while blood began to leak from his nostrils.
