8:22 a.m, Jay's POV:

I yawned ferociously and Meech looked at me with a disgusted facial expression.

Then, I yawned again, made a noise with it, and he moved away from me as we laughed together.

"Damn, sleepy ass..." He said as he started yawning.

"Boy be so for real... look at you."

"Man, I'm only doin' it cause of you." Meech said as I shook my head.

We sat in the lobby right before our shift started.

"Aye, how come we never had the breakfast here?" Meech inquired.

"You've never mentioned it." I said.

"Wait, you've had it?" He asked.

"Yea.. that one time I stayed overnight from my miscarriage."

He turned his face up at me and squinted his eyes.

"That nigga sent you breakfast? I see why yo' soft ass fell in love so fuckin' fast... always you and food." He said as I dropped my jaw and chuckled.

"Shutup Meech everything ain't bout' food and you got a lotta' nerve when you're the other nigga that feeds me." I said as he cracked a smile.

Exactly.

"Whatever, but aye, I never really thought about this shit, but how far back did you and boss go?" Meech asked as I looked down at my feet.

"Honestly... that night was the first night we got to know each other. So, I guess I'd say then." I explained as I saw a woman approach one of the concierge desks.

"Well damn... here I was thinkin' that nigga was just being nice to a staff member, but he liked yo' ass all along. He was just bein' an asshole to mask that shit." Meech said as glared at him playfully.

"Bro, why are you like this?" I asked as he chuckled.

"Why not?" He asked as I shook my head once more.

"Did you get a chance to ask him about Vegas?"

"Yes Meech, you're going to Vegas with us... sheesh." I said as he got excited and I sighed.

"I better be, or me and you would be scrappin'."
He said as my attention stayed on this woman.

One of the women behind the desk waved someone over.

That someone happened to be my boyfriend...

I saw his interaction with the woman and he looked surprised.

"The hell you starin' at cause you damn sure ain't payin' attention to me?" Meech asked as his gaze matched mine.

"Damn, they look just alike." He said as I started putting two and two together.

"Oh my gosh... that's his mom." I said standing up and walking off from our seats.

Meech followed quickly after me.

"Look at yo' scary ass." He said as I smacked my lips.

"Shutup goofy... I literally am not dressed in an outfit that says hey ma'am, I'm dating your millionaire son... instead I look like hey ma'am, I'm the help." I said as Meech chuckled.

"You readin' too much into that shit. I hate to say it but you're a bomb ass person. If she don't like you then something is wrong with her." He said as I smiled from ear to ear.

"Awwwwww Meeeeecch..." I squealed and dragged out the phrase as he sighed.

"Ight now don't overdo it." He said playfully.
