Jay's POV:

"Damn, I wish I had some breakfast." Meech said rubbing his stomach.

"Now, you know that wouldn't be a good idea because I'd be stuck cleaning the rooms."

"I know that's right." Dawn said as Meech smacked his lips.

"Here you and yo' two cents go." He said as we chuckled in unison.

"I do wish you would've eaten too. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day... or whatever the doctors say." I said playfully as he glared at me.

"You in a good ass mood this morning." Meech said as I looked down at my nails.

Chris had a nice breakfast prepared for me this morning, and he sliced up a bowl of strawberries to top it off.

It's my favorite fruit.

"I'm like this every morning." I said obviously lying.

"No the hell you ain't. Yo' ass be grumpy and half sleep on my shoulder by the time we start our shift." Meech said as I chuckled.

"Good morning everyone" I heard the alluring voice that I've gotten used to say to the staff as he made his way through the hall.

Everyone moved out of his way, spoke back, and some of the girls blushed at him. I can't be mad... we have a fine boss.

"Morning boss" Marcus said as Chris was preparing to walk past me.

As my eyes traced his frame, they met his eyes. He gave a quick, subtle smile and I gave one back.

I tried to hide my blushing so I looked down at my shoes.

I spent the night with him for the fourth night in a row.

He's so sweet with me and he handles me with gentleness. He's charming. His touches are compassionate and he never makes me uncomfortable. Sleeping under him has ignited a level of security that I've never felt before.

I didn't even feel like that with my last.

As I pondered on my thoughts... I felt a hole being burned into the side of my face.

My eyes slowly rose from the ground. I looked at Meech and he squinted his eyes at me.

He grabbed my arm gently and walked us away from everybody.

"Wait, what I do??" I asked as he pulled me like I was a little kid about to get in trouble.

Once we finally came to a stop, we stood face to face down the hallway.

He examined me closely and spoke.

"You fucked that nigga?"

My eyes bucked immediately and I almost choked on my saliva.

"No! Are you crazy?" I asked him at a whisper.

"I'm not stupid... the look y'all just gave each other was quick but it said a thousand words." Meech said folding his arms as I smacked my lips.

"You say that when the other housekeepers blush at him?"

"Hell naw cause ion' know them like that. But, I do know you. I know how hard you love and care about shit. If that's a door you wanna open, I want you to be happy but also careful. That's a tough businessman that don't take no shit from nobody and you're like a flower... you fragile." He said as I rolled my eyes.

"Bro why do I keep hearing that?"

"Jayde cause it's true... you act all tough and shit, but you sensitive as fuck. You're a hopeless romantic. You love love... I want you to find it one day, but I want you to be strategic on how you do it. Love shouldn't confuse you, harm you, or give you doubts. It should be certain." Meech said as I grabbed his hand in mine.
