A Housekeeper's Secrets

Departure.

The Next Morning, 6:27 a.m.
Chris' POV:

As we laid face to face with each other, I caressed her cheek with my thumb.

It was a comfortable silence as we enjoyed our last moments with each other.

"Don't be sad baby..." I said as I saw her eyes water a little bit.

"I'm not..." She whispered.

"Yes you are... remember I told you I'm not leaving you alone. I'm coming back." I said as I pulled her into my chest more.

"I know Chris. I know."

"Don't worry about me too much. Imma be straight and I will communicate witchu' while I'm out there." I said.

"Promise?"

"Promise baby" I said as she held up her pinky.

I chuckled, locked my pinky with hers, and kissed our fists.

"By the way, who told you to put me on the schedule the whole weekend?" She asked quickly changing the subject.

"I need to keep you busy. You sitting up thinking about me ain't gone help shit. So, I gave you something to do." I said as she shook her head and I chuckled.

"I literally hate you." She said as I gasped.

"Take it back." I said as she giggled lightly.

"You know I don't hate you. But, who said that I wanted to work the whole weekend. I don't get to have a life?" She asked.

"You'll have one when I get back." I said as I got out the bed.

"Noooo... where are you going?" She asked while giving me puppy eyes.

"Baby, I gotta go shower." I said.

She smacked her lips.

"If you don't wanna cuddle with me then just say that." She said as I chuckled.

I stopped and watched her cross her arms like a lil' ass kid.

"Come here..." I instructed.

"No"

"I said bring yo' ass over here... now." I instructed as she smirked a little and got out the bed.

It's obvious that she likes when I get a little aggressive with her.

She stood in front of me and I stepped closer to tower over her.

"Come shower with me." I said softly.

I grabbed her hand in mine and led her to my master bathroom.

She locked her fingers with mine and it brought a partial smile to my face.

I'm not ready to leave her yet... but I have to.

An Hour Later:

I stood over Jayde as we stood by my front door.

She looked down at her feet. I pulled her closer to me, wrapped my arms around her, and embraced her sweetly.

I sighed as she wrapped her arms around my torso and I placed my cheek on the surface of her head.

As she placed her face against my chest, she said, "Chris, I love you."

"I love you too baby... imma miss you so much"

"I know. Imma miss you more."

"I'll be back in a few days. My house has a security system as you may know. There are cameras in certain places, but I swear it's not to spy on you. It's to make sure everything stays tight around here. No one even knows you're here so you'll be fine." I explained as I felt her shake her head ok.
