Soft rock was playing in the background as Morgan dropped a seasoned steak on the large skillet on her stove, dropping two more before tossing a large one to Zeus, who happily caught it in his mouth, munching on his breakfast. Lex – his new nickname from Morgan – sat at the kitchen island, drinking a bottle of Tru Blood as he read the newspaper, his wardrobe bring much casual than the formal suit and tie, something she knew he was happy about.

"Hope you're hungry, Sook" Morgan said, her back turned as the blonde entered the kitchen "steak and eggs for breakfast, with hash browns and sauteed mushrooms"

"Smells good" she compliment "who's this?"

"Alexander Collins" setting a small bowl of diced meat in front of Sebastian "I call him Lex, he's a friend of my father's and will be staying here for a while. Coffee?"

"Miss Stackhouse" Lex greeted

". . I wanna go back to Jackson" standing next to her "I still plan on finding him" pouring herself a cup of coffee

"Okay, doormat" Alcide muttered as he walked in, pecking Morgan's lips

"I'm not a doormat" looking at him "I just want him to say it to my face"

"What, he didn't hurt you enough?" brushing past her to go to the coffee

"I think he's in trouble" moving out of his way "maybe I'm wrong, but if he can look me in the eye and tell me it's over, then I'll leave him there to rot"

"You're looking for closure?" Morgan asked "Sook, just let it go. He made his choice, so you may as well move on with your life"

"What about Chris?" She asked

"What about him?" flipping the steaks "he broke my heart the same way Bill broke yours, I got over it eventually and I moved on with my life, as you can plainly see" gesturing to the house "and stop comparing my past mistakes with your current ones"

"Should we be talking about all this with him here?" lowering her voice to a whisper

"She filled me in" Lex replied, taking a drink of his B-Positive

"I need more information" getting back on topic, turning to Alcide "take me to that engagement party tonight"

"No fucking way" the werewolf replied instantly "getting you in that bar last night, I did it for Morgan. Ain't no way I'm going to my exes engagement party for you"

"Morgan . ." looking at her

"Don't look at me" she replied, cracking an egg in the pan "bub, you want yours sunny side or over-medium?"

A knock emitted from the front door, Lex standing in front of it before Morgan could get to it, checking to see who it is before opening the door,

"You must be Janice" Morgan said with a smile

"And you are Morgan Du Locke" the woman said with a smile "thank you, Jesus. I'd have settled for a two-bit hooker to get my brothers mind of that bitch Debbie Pelt. Hollis was right, you are a major upgrade. I mean look at your hair, it's so beautiful and your skin is flawless!"

"Thank you" now wondering what Debbie looked like "come on in, Sookie's right in the kitchen. I know you don't know us all that well, but thanks for doing this"

"It's no problem, sweetheart" shaking her head slightly "your my baby brothers mate, just what he needs"

Janice walked in the house, looking around in amazement while dragging two suitcases behind her and a duffle bag on her shoulder,

"When you called, I was checking my horoscope" she informed "do you know what it said? Things are looking up for somebody close to you. They obviously are, nailed it" setting her things down "you must be Sookie" looking at the blonde "Morgan filled me in when I was packing my stuff. If you want to get into Lou Pine's without standing out, you need to look the part. That is my specialty. How deep do we wanna go?"

"Let's make her look like she can kick some ass" Morgan said

"Which I can" Sookie commented

"All right" Janice said, unzipping her duffle and grabbing a binder "let's pick out some temporary tattoos"

'That dumb bitch Debbie's actually getting herself initiated into that nasty pack of freaks'

"How did you find out about the engagement party?" setting the binder down in front of Sookie

"Hollis told me" the blonde answered

'Fucking Hollis and his big mouth. I'm glad he didn't say nothing to about her being hooked on V'

"If he still cares about her, don't you think he should go and try to talk her out of it?" shrugging slightly

"No, he should not" holding up a few pictures against her back "my psychic told him if he stayed with her, he would get himself killed. Did he listen? No. She ended up dumping his ass. Besides, he doesn't have to worry about Debbie anymore, now what he has Morgan"

"Why'd he stay with her so long?" curiosity in his voice

"She was his first love, and never met anybody so alive, and all that shit" bluntness in her voice "but how many bullets are you going to take for somebody? How many bad things gotta happen to you and the ones that you love before you realize feeling alive ain't enough? I'm just glad he made it out alive, and I'm glad he's with Morgan now"

"Darlin?" Alcide called out "baby? You here?"

He followed the sound of her laughter, which led him to the master bedroom, opening the door and pausing in his tracks at the sight of Sookie, wearing a short black wig, dark make-up, corset top, leather jeans, fingerless gloves and boots. Fake tattoos were also plastered on her body,

"Uh . ." He trailed off

"What?" She asked, looking at Morgan

"I'm sorry" she giggled "I'm sorry. You just look like you're going through your gothic phase, listening to Paramour and saying never shout never" bursting into another fit of giggles

"You listen to Paramour" she pointed out

"But when have you ever seen me look like that?" pointing to her attire

"Debbie's getting initiated into Coot's pack and she's addicted to V" looking at Alcide

"Shut the fucking door" Alcide muttered, surprise in his voice "Debbie's a blood-head? How'd you find out?"

"I was poking around in Janice's brain" honesty in her voice "she didn't tell you because she was just trying to protect you"

"Why didn't you let her?" setting his things down

"Because I think you still care about Debbie" she replied "no matter what she did you you. And I figured you'd want no know if she was in danger"

"I am with Morgan now" he said slowly, trying to make her understand "I don't care about Debbie anymore, she made her choice. It may not have been the smart one going with the pack, but it's her choice"

". . I really need your help" looking at him ". . please"

"We'll go in separate" Morgan spoke up "you might fool a few people with that getup –"

"But I'm gonna get my ass kicked" Alcide commented ". . again"

"Not if we bring Zeus" a smirk on her lips
