Chapter 4

I took my exams during my free week, kaya imbes na magpahinga, pag-aaral ang inatupag ko. Busy din si Jayde sa pag gawa ng test papers. She gave me an heads up about my exam to her subject, she even said that I need to read all the topics kasi naroon daw lahat 'yong sagot sa exam niya.

Sinunod ko ang sinabi niya, and luckily I passed her exam—all of my exams really. Kaya ngayon, balik na ulit ako sa trabaho. Habang si Jayde naman ay busy sa pagko-compute ng grades.

"Here," Kirk said and handed me a glass of juice.

"Thanks," I replied taking the glass from his hand.

Kirk on the other side is treating me nicely and he never annoyed me again. I guess, I can treat him as a friend like Mccoy.

"Three episodes and we're done," he says putting his hands on his knees.

"Yup, but, there's a season two." I sip on my juice. "Probably, next year."

The management told us about our series having season two, probably next year. Marami kasi ang nag-aabang sa series namin ni Kirk, mga behind the scenes pa lang 'yong pinakita sa social media pero ang dami ng fans ang kinikilig sa amin.

The management also ordered us to post a photo of us together on our Instagram accounts to pull more fans.

Natapos namin ang isang episode kaya naman binigyan kami ng break, dalawang araw para magpahinga. I immediately went back to my condo and rush to my parents house to visit them.

"Ate Reeve!" Agad na tumakbo ang kapatid kong si Reevon nang makita ako.

He's fifteen years old and so fond of me. Alam niya rin ang relasyon naming dalawa ni Jayde and he supported us.

"Ate Jayde bought me a new basketball shoes," he said.

"Kailan lang?" Tanong ko dahil hindi naman sinabi sa akin ni Jayde.

"Last week," he replied. "She saw my shared post on Facebook about wanting a new basketball shoes, and she bought it for me. Ate she's really cool. Don't break up with her!"

Natawa ako sa sinabi niya. She's really fond of Jayde.

"Mabuti naman at napadalaw ka," ani ni Daddy habang nasa hapag kami.

"I got a two days break," I replied.

"That Kirk is handsome, and I saw clips that he's been taking care of you in the set," saad ni Mommy. "He'll make a good boyfriend."

Agad akong napainom ng tubig sa sinabi ni Mommy. My parents doesn't support LGBTQ relationships, reason why I didn't tell them about Jayde, because I know they're reactions already. They won't allow my relationship with her so I had to kept it as a secret.

"Bring him next time," Dad said.

"We're nothing but friends, Dad," I said frankly.

"Well, d'yan naman nagsisimula lahat anak. Sa pagkakaibigan." Nakangiting saad ni Mommy.

"Don't force her to do something she doesn't like, Mom and Dad." Reevon intervene. "Like setting her up to a guy she doesn't like. You can't force someone's feelings you know." He shrugged.

Sa mga ganitong sitwasyon, palaging si Reevon ang nand'yan para saluhin ako. Even though he's just fifteen, he already know how to stand up and defend me from our own parents.

"We're just suggesting," Daddy simply replied.

"Then, suggestion rejected."

Bago pa man magkaroon ng tension sa pagitan ng kapatid ko at ni Daddy, agad nang iniba ni Mommy ang topic. Nagtatanong na siya kay Daddy ngayon tungkol sa bagong property namin sa Mindanao. Buti na lang at agad nabaling ang atensiyon ni Daddy doon.
