"You should bring Kirk the next time you visit," my mother said smiling.

I decided to visit my parents today. I'm having a brunch with them right now, there's a lot of food in front of me, but I can't enjoy them all because my parents are blabbering about Kirk.

"You should've invited him," my Dad said.

Reevon on the other hand is scowling at me. He didn't greet me when he saw me earlier. This kid is giving me a cold treatment, probably he thought that I broke up with Jayde.

"I'll bring him, some other time," I replied weakly.

"Inform us beforehand so that we can prepare. I'm excited to meet that boy," my Mom said delighted.

"How about you Reevon? Are you excited to meet your brother-in-law?" My Dad turned to my brother.

My brother let out a sarcastic chuckle and shake his head as if he's disappointed.

"They're not married, so he's not my brother-in-law." Mariin ang sabi niya. "And I'm not excited to see him. I don't like him," he said madly and left the table.

My Dad let out an amusing laugh and shake his head.

"He's really protective of you," he said proudly. "But, I'm sure he will like Kirk. Hindi niya lang kasi nakakasama ang binata kaya malayo ang loob," marahang sabi niya.

"Tiyak magkakasundo ang dalawang 'yon." Nakangiting saad ni Mommy at bumaling sa akin. "Ano bang mga hilig gawin ng nobyo mo anak?"

Halos masamid ako sa sarili kong laway. Nobyo, ha?

Kahit labag man sa loob ko ay sinagot ko nang magalang si Mommy. Hindi ko naman kasi lubusang alam ang mga ginagawa ni Kirk dahil wala naman talaga akong interest sa kaniya.

Pagkatapos naming kumain, agad akong nagpaalam para sundan si Reevon sa kwarto niya. I found him sitting at the edge of his bed watching the TV.

"Von," I called.

He gave me a quick glance before returning his gaze to the TV. He's watching a football game.

"You broke up with Ate Jayde?" Tanong niya habang nakatutok pa rin sa TV.

Umiling ako at umupo sa tabi niya.

"About us and Kirk, it's not true," I said honestly. "It's the management's request. Jayde knows about it."

"And she agreed?" He asks looking at me.

I nodded.

"Ha..." He scoffed. "She really love you." He stated.

I chuckled. Of course, I know that.

"Even though she did it to support you, and to avoid not to ruin your career, I know she's hurting," he said. "But, because of her love to you, she is willing to endure the pain and stick to being the secret lover. Her love for you is beyond what you expected, Ate. Sino ba naman ang matutuwa kapag ganyan ang set up ng girlfriend mo at ng ka love team niya? Pero sa kaniya, handa niyang tiisin lahat, para sa 'yo. Minsan lang sa mundo ang ganyan."

Ipinatong ko ang ulo ko sa balikat niya, hindi niya naman tinanggal 'yon.

"Mahal ko rin siya," saad ko. "Darating din ang araw na hindi ko na siya itatago. For now, I have to build my name, reach my dreams."

"Anong klaseng management ba kasi 'yan? Lumipat ka na kaya." Naiinis niyang saad.

Tinampal ko ang braso niya. "Hindi gano'n kadali 'yon."
