"Have you seen the news?" my brother asks.

I glared at him quickly before looking back at my computer. "What news are you talking about?"

"God, you're a lawyer, yet you're not updated." He sighed. "It's a news about Ate Reeve, the media saw her with another guy walking around Boston in the middle of the night. The media assumed that you two have broken up, and the wedding was cancelled," he said.

Iritado kong tiningnan at binasa ang article na sinabi niya. Nakasulat nga roon ang speculation ng media. Naroon din ang medyo blur na picture ni Reeve kasama ang isang pangit na lalaki.

These past few days, my communication with Reeve is not like before. She's busy shooting her new movie, kaya hindi kami gaanong nakakapagusap. Abala rin ako sa kasong hawak ko ngayon kaya hindi gaya ng dati ang communication namin, dati kasi ay nakakapagusap pa kami ng isang oras, may video call pa, ngayon nagse send na lang kami ng message sa isa't-isa para may update.

"Don't mind the article," I said. "It's just a lie. You know that we're still together, and we're just busy."

"Pero, there's another picture," Reevon hesitated.

"What picture?" I asks.

"It's all over X, why not open it?"

I grabbed my phone, and go to the X app, and open it. Reeve's photo with the man on the article is the first photo on my feed. They were kissing.

Kumunot ang noo ko. Nilapag ko ang cellphone at pumikit ng mariin.

"I'm going to Boston tomorrow," I declared.

"What about the case?" Reevon inquired.

Oh, hindi niya pala alam na tapos na ang kaso.

I chuckled and looked at him. "You know about Reeve's issues, but you didn't know about the case. It was controversial case, and I won that case. Kanina."

He groaned.

"Malay ko ba, nag focus lang kasi ako roon sa article ni Ate Reeve." Ngumuso siya.

Tumayo ako at ginulo ang buhok niya.

"I know you're worried about us," I said. "But don't worry, I trust Reeve. She won't cheat on me. The photo were she was seen kissing with a man was probably a shot taken during their shoot, and the walked around Boston, was also part of the movie. Reeve told me about it, okay?"

"You're not bothered?" He probed.

Umiling ako at bahagyang tumawa.

"I'm not," sagot ko.

"Then why are you going to Boston, tomorrow?" pang uusisa niya.

"I'm done with work. I missed her so much, and I want to see her, that's why I'm going there tomorrow."

Hindi na siya nagtanong pa at tumango na lang.

Ilang beses na rin namang nangyari na may issue si Reeve. May mga kumakalat na pictures gano'n kahit noong 'di pa alam ng public ang relasyon namin. Kaya naman alam ko na kapag may article na ganito.

Nakapag book na ako ng ticket para bukas, hindi alam ni Reeve na pupunta ako. Hindi ko rin sinabi dahil gusto ko siyang sorpesahin.

Isang taon na bukas simula ng mag propose ako sa kanya. Time flies so fast.

Kinabukasan, hindi ako nag send ng message kay Reeve, which is unusual for me. No matter how busy I am, I still have the time to send her message to tell her what I'm doing, and greet her.
