Loving someone is a big responsibility. Dating is also a responsibility. Thinking about being in a relationship exhausts the hell out of me. I really can't imagine myself being in love with someone.

Like, dating, kissing, fighting, jealousy, and being clingy. I can't see myself being one.

"Mallari, have you eaten? If you haven't, let's eat together!" My senior Mel invited me with her sweetest smile.

She's my friend, and I'm comfortable having her around even though she's older than me.

"I already ate," I said.

She pouted. Halatang nagtatampo.

I'm good having her as a friend, but lately I sensed that she has a thing for me. I didn't assume it, because it's true. She's clingy. She always follow me around.

I'm not dumb, I know that she likes me.

Having said that, we're both women. However, I'm gay, but I can't see myself dating someone. That's why when Mel confessed her feelings to me, I rejected her. I told her that I'm straight, even though it was a lie.

Mel loathed me because I rejected her, which is I couldn't understand. She had the courage to confessed, that means she should also have the courage to face rejection.

Iniisip ba niyang gusto ko rin siya dahil sa pakikitungo ko sa kaniya? Come on, I treated her with kindness because she's my friend. She shouldn't assume that I like her too. God.

We lost communication after that.

When I was in college, I met this girl who caught my attention in everything she do.

"Mich, Trevk, manood tayo ng mall show!" A woman who looks younger than me shouted to her friends.

Nagtaas ako ng kilay. Ang ingay naman ng babaeng 'to, akala mo siya lang ang tao sa paligid.

I was in my way home when I saw her with her friends coming out from a fast food restaurant.

She's gorgeous. She's tall, but I'm taller. She got that beautiful body, and angelic face. She looks like a beautiful actress.

I don't know what happened to me, because in a minute, I found myself watching that woman, and I find it hard to take my eyes off from her.

Damn it, what's happening to me?

Ever since I saw her, palagi ko na lang siyang inaabangan sa harap ng fast food restaurant para lang makita siya. I cursed myself mentally.

What the heck I'm doing?

"Hello po, ate, do you know other restaurant aside from this?"

Nagulat ako sa biglaan niyang paglapit at pagtanong. Wala talagang preno.

At ano, ate?

I stared at her rudely. She stepped back and smiled awkwardly because of my stare.

"I know some, do you want me to accompany you?" I asks.

It might be a chance to get to know her.

Masaya siyang kumapit sa braso ko. For some reason, I found myself grinning because of this. God.
