Chapter 34

My mind kept thinking about what Marky said. I want to go home, and talk to my mother personally, but I can't go home yet.

My schedule this month, and the next months were loaded. I can't ask for a break to my management. Isa pa, nag-aaral din ako.

"I know you want to talk to Ate Jayde, but she's busy right now, she's preparing for her upcoming bar exam," si Josh nang tawagan ko siya.

Gusto ko ring kausapin si Jayde, pero gusto ko sa personal. Gusto kong malaman kung anong totoong nangyari, hindi naman ako umaasang magkakabalikan kami.

"I see," sabi ko.

"I know she also wants to talk to you, Ate, but she's really busy, and she has her other reasons," si Josh sa kabilang linya.

Naiintindihan ko naman na hindi pa kami pwedeng mag usap ngayon, marami pa kaming kailangan gawin. I believe there's a right time for that.

Hindi ko muna inisip ang tungkol kay Jayde at kay Mommy. I diverted my attention to my work, and my study.

In work, I still have something to deal with. It's my bruised relationship with Richmond. After what he did in his bar, we became the talked of the town, and it gives me trouble. Medias are everywhere to asked me about what Richmond did. About our relationship. And who was the other guy.

Richmond apologized, and I forgave him. But, our good friendship is not the same anymore. I just treated him as my manager, and nothing more.

He was furious about it, and he kept bugging me to forgive him fully.

"Reeve, it was really my mistake. I regret what I did, so let's comeback to the way we used to be," he begged.

I sigh heavily.

"Mond, I already forgave you," I replied patiently. "But, I can't treat you the same way anymore." Nilagpasan ko siya at dire diretsong pumasok sa loob ng building nang hindi siya nililingon kahit ilang beses niya pa akong tinawag.

Hindi siya sumuko kahit gano'n ang trato ko sa kaniya sa loob ng limang buwan. Patuloy niya pa rin akong sinusuyo, at kinukulit kahit ayaw ko talaga.

I know some will say, I'm lucky to have a persistent guy around me. But, it's irritating for  me, because I made myself clear that I don't want him to follow me around, but he won't listen.

"You should forgive, Richmond, he's a nice guy," sabi ng isang katrabaho ko.

Agad akong napapapikit dahil sa inis.

"I already forgave him," I replied.

Richmond is not pestering me because he's asking for my forgiveness na matagal ko na namang binigay sa kanya. He's pestering me because he's pursuing me.

Kilig na kilig pa palagi ang buong katrabaho ko kapag pumupunta sa Richmond sa mga photoshoots ko, para bigyan ako ng pagkain, o para sunduin ako.

Sinabi ko kay Trevk at Mich ang tungkol kay Richmond, dahil hindi ko na kaya ang pangungulit ng lalaking iyon.

"Why can't you open your heart for him?" Si Mich.

Agad siyang nakatanggap ng matalim na tingin galing kay Trevk.

"Patawarin mo na siya at bigyan nang pagkakataon, mukhang gustong gusto ka naman n'yan," pangungumbinse sa akin ni Mich.

Tumikhim si Trevk.

"I don't like that guy for you," diretsong sabi ni Trevk.

"It's because you're team Jayde!" Mich argued.

Humagalpak nang tawa si Trevk.

"Of course, I am, team Jayde since day one," Trevk said proudly.

Dahil pumasok na rin naman sa usapan si Jayde, sinabi ko sa kanila ang tungkol sa sinabi ni Marky at Lily. Tinago ko kasi ito sa sarili ko sa loob ng ilang buwan dahil ayokong malaman nilang iniisip ko pa rin si Jayde.
