I walked with Bailey and Meredith to the nurses' station where Cristina, George and Izzie were talking.

"Where's Karev?" Dr Bailey asked.

"Probably off somewhere, not kissing somebody," Izzie said. George and I followed Bailey while Meredith, Cristina and Izzie hung back. We walked into one of Burke's patients' rooms.

"Ah, Kimberley Griswold. History of heart disease and multiple surgeries. In for a beating heart quadruple CABG," Cristina presented. Alex walked in late.

"You're late," Izzie said.

"Yes Karev, nice of you to join us. Why keep the heart beating Dr Yang?" Dr Burke asked.

"I don't know," Cristina said.

"What?" Dr Bailey and Dr Burke asked.

"I have no idea," Cristina said. Bailey looked to Izzie.

"Oh, I don't know either. Just don't," Izzie said. Meredith went to answer but was elbowed by Izzie.

"Anyone else?" Dr Burke asked.

"Stress reduction because of the previous surgeries ..." Alex began.

"O'Malley. Sloan," Dr Burke said cutting him off.

"Because you've had heart surgery before your heart is under a lot of stress which has the potential to cause the heart not to restart because the muscle is so weak and with the scar tissue being so deep it's much safer to keep your heart beating during the surgery," I explained.

"Welcome to the case," Dr Burke said.

"I can't. I've got an appointment," I said.

"O'Malley the case is yours," Dr Burke handed George the chart.

"Thank you," George said. The rest of us walked out.

"Dr Bailey, am I good to go?" I asked.

"You're with Montgomery-Shepherd after your appointment," Dr Bailey said.

I was sitting and waiting for my tests. Addison walked in.

"Have you lost your mind?" Addison asked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Mark called me and was very pissed off about the fact your father asking you to donate your liver," Addison said.

"Part of my liver," I said. "It regenerates. He's my old man Ads. I can't tell him no,"

"You can tell him no. He can't guilt trip you into giving him your liver," Addison said.

"If he doesn't have this surgery he could die Ads. I've already lost my mother to this," I said.

"Who's to say that you give him this and he goes back to drinking? You can't donate to him again," Addison said.

"You're acting like you wouldn't give the captain or Bizzy your liver if they needed it," I said.

"Listen to me. Think about this for longer than 10 minutes. If at the end of the day, you still want to do this then we'll come back together and have your tests done," Addison said.

"Okay," I said getting off the bed. Addison's pager went off.

"Good now come on," Addison said. We walked to a patient room. His name was Shane and he thought he's pregnant. Addison began performing an ultrasound. There was a camera going off.

"The first pregnancy test I took was a joke, to make Tina laugh," Shane said.

"We didn't think it would lead to ... you know, this," Tina said.
