I was walking down the hallway with Addison.

"Did you come to bed last night?" Addison asked.

"Um, I fell asleep but then I had a nightmare. I'm not nice to be in bed with once I've had a nightmare. So I crashed on the couch," I said.

"Are you okay? Did you sleep?" Addison asked.

"I'm okay. I slept for like 3 hours," I said.

"Coffee?" Addison asked.

"Coffee," I said.

Addison had dragged me over to the OR board where Dr Webber, Dr Bailey and Dr Burke were standing.

"Richard, I know Sage has spent a lot of time on my service but I could really use her today," Addison began. Dr Bailey looked at me.

"Sloan," Dr Bailey said. "Denny Duquette. Go,"

"Just heading there now," I said walking off. Addison looked at me. Meredith and Dr Bailey met me outside Denny's room. We walked into his room.

"How you feeling this morning, Denny?" Dr Bailey asked.

"Great. Be even greater if you'd get me off this machine," Denny said gesturing to his heart monitor.

"Denny, you know I would, but then your heart would stop beating, and Dr Burke would yell at me and that'd make for a very bad day for both of us," Dr Bailey said.

"Is he a candidate for the portable LVAD?" Meredith asked.

"Now, see? That's what I'm talking about. Half the size, twice the fun," Denny said.

"Ah, you've been doing your research, huh?" Dr Bailey asked.

"I have," Denny said.

"I've already told him, he's not ready for it yet," Izzie said walking in.

"Dr Stevens, didn't I assign you to neuro this morning?" Dr Bailey asked.

"Yeah. I was...I'm on my way. But could you tell him about the complications?" Izzie asked.

"You'd be risking air embolus, v-fib," Meredith started.

"Yeah and the tubing could kink inside of your body, in which case, we'd have to rush you to emergency surgery," Izzie said.

"Dr Stevens, unless Mr Duquette's heart has suddenly grown a brain, you are currently not doing your job," Dr Bailey said.

"I'm going," Izzie said before turning to Denny. "Just don't be stupid, ok?"

"You're not the boss of me today, woman," Denny smirked.

Meredith and I walked into Denny's room after getting the results back from his lab results.

"EKG, ECHO, and nuclear all within normal limits," I said.

"Denny, in that case, I see no reason why you can't be up walking," Dr Bailey said.

"Music to my ears, Dr Bailey," Denny said.

"Good. So, you have any questions?" Dr Bailey asked.

"No. It's..." Denny trailed off.

"We can put it off. No harm in waiting a few weeks if you have questions. If you're worried," Dr Bailey said.

"I've got 20 tubes coming out of my body, one of which goes directly into my you-know-what. At some point, I'd like to use that you-know-what for something besides peeing into a bag. Like, for instance, peeing into a toilet. It's just...Izzie gave me medical advice. You're giving me different advice. It just so happens that yours is the advice I want to hear," Denny said.

"Well, Dr Bailey outranks Dr Stevens. So, it's safe to say Dr Bailey's advice is the one to follow," Meredith said.

"That's not what he's worried about, Dr Grey. He's worried that Dr Stevens might get her ego bruised and her feelings hurt, am I right?" Dr Bailey asked.

"No, no. Definitely no," Denny said.

"Because it would concern me if you were making medical decisions based on how our Dr Stevens might feel about it," Dr Bailey said.

"Well, in that case, I say we do this thing. Screw that dizzy blonde doctor girl," Denny said.

"That's not helping, Denny," Dr Bailey said.

"No?" Denny asked.

"No," Meredith, Bailey and I said. We walked outside.

"What's going on between Stevens and Denny? Is it a crush? Is it an innocent flirtation? Or is Stevens actually crossing the line?" Dr Bailey asked.

"I know she likes him. I can't imagine Izzie would do that," Meredith said.

"Uh-huh. I couldn't imagine you and Yang would be stupid enough to fall for your attendings, but I was wrong about that, wasn't I?" Dr Bailey asked.

"What about Sage?" Meredith asked.

"Hey. I had fallen long before she was my attending," I said.

I was in the kitchen waiting for Addison to come home from work.

"You would not believe the day I had. I went out of my way to give a patient exactly what she wants, only to have it explode in my face. I mean, lawsuit, threat, Richard's pissed. Don't even get me started about Alex Karev," Addison said letting her hair down. I stood up and walked towards her.

"Sounds like a rough day," I said. "Why don't you change into something comfy while I go heat up dinner? We can eat dinner in bed and you can relax," I said. "I could run you a bath with candles and stuff," Addison smiled at me.

"Thank you," Addison said kissing me.

"Whatever you want tonight. I'm yours," I said. "First dinner. I'll be right back,"

"Okay," Addison said. I picked up the dinner plate from the oven and poured a glass of wine to go with it before walking back into the bedroom where Addison was laying on the bed wearing one of my button up shirts with the buttons undone.

"Dinner," I said.

"Thank you," Addison said. "Where's your plate?"

"I'm not hungry," I said.

"Okay," Addison said. "Now come here," I sat beside her on the bed. She moved to sit between my legs.

"Comfy?" I asked.

"Very comfy. Thank you," Addison said. Ace jumped up on the bed and rested his head on my leg.

"You comfy too?" I asked Ace. He pawed at my leg. "I'll take that as a yes," Addison laughed. We cuddled up and relaxed.

"I love you," Addison said.

"I love you too," I said.
