𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐋.
The mood Adella was in concluded up to dull, matching the grey painted sky. Her head hung low as the black coat she wore draped down to her legs along with the black dress. Sunglasses covered her dark brunette eyes and a navy cap sat on her head, both items covering her identity.

The only thing people could recognise from Adella Rogers was her slim figure and face shape. The Adella everyone knew had blonde hair yet walking to her father's shield being stored away, she had dark brown hair.

Her hands were in her pockets, making sure she wouldn't trip over her own feet while wearing black heels - Adella hated wearing heels, she couldn't function in them... or at least she couldn't fight in them.

The one thing the Roger's woman loved was fighting. When she used to be an avenger, she always wanted to train with Natasha Romanoff and fight whoever challenged her, but being disguised from the world meant she couldn't anymore... until something happened one day, leaving scars that burnt into her skin.

Opening the glass doors, people she knew and didn't know stood gathered around the man on stage. News reporters wrote things down as cameras at the side recorded the whole thing.

Sam Wilson was already speaking by the time Adella had arrived until his gaze motioned to the mysterious woman who has just stood far at the back, leaning against the wall and away from everyone else. His mouth shut for a few moments, not letting his eyes leave the woman, swearing in his mind that, that might be Adella.

Clearing his throat, he continued: "Steve represented the best in all of us. Courageous, righteous, hopeful. And he mastered posing stoically."

A few chuckles and laughs came from the crowd, but not Adella. The legacy of her father was being put in a museum, hidden away from the whole world. Collecting dust.

Adella noticed Sam flickering his eyes over to her, causing her to lower her head even more, hoping he wouldn't realise that Captain America's daughter was there.

"The world has been forever changed. A few months ago, billions of people reappeared after five years away, sending the world into turmoil. We need new heroes. Ones suited for the times we're in. Symbols... are nothing without the women and men that give them meaning. And this thing..." The man picked up Captain America's shield that was handed down to him, "I don't know if there's ever been a greater symbol. But it's more about the man who propped it up, and he's gone. So, today we honour Steve's legacy. But also, we look to the future. So, thank you, Captain America. But this belongs to you." Sam handed over the shield to a worker and it was placed inside a glass container.

As everyone clapped, a single tear slipped down Adella's face yet she felt nothing before simply wiping it away and heading towards the museum.

With a sigh, the woman stood in front of screens that showed her father. All the work he accomplished, all the achievements he gained in the war, all the fights he won. Everything about his life was in this building.
