"Bakubro!" Kirishima sprinted into the room and held his phone up.
"I know." Bakugo turned the TV off. "Chief Sato just finished a public announcement."
When Kirishima saw the headline on his phone, he sprinted to the company. "I'll take the jet and call Deku on the way."
"No." Bakugo finally faced Kirishima. The veins against his forehead pumped furiously when he rose. He clicked the elevator open and luckily it was still there from Kirishima's arrival. "He'll keep me from killing those fuckers."
"You're still on house rest, man!"
"You coming?"
Kirishima sighed and ran into the elevator with Bakugo. He'd only seen Bakugo this angry once or twice—and all reasoning went out the window. They stood together in silence as Bakugo fumed and glared at the elevator as if that would make it move quicker. Over the past few years, Kirishima bulked up much more than Bakugo, but Bakugo was still taller and still angrier.
When it finally dinged open, Bakugo ran across the suit room and slammed his locker open for his winter suit. Hatsume Industries designed it two years ago, and Bakugo ripped open the case surrounding it. Bakugo shoved himself into three thermal shirts before sliding two pairs of thermal bottoms on.
"You're going to sweat a lot," Kirishima dryly pointed out when he slid his winter suit on.
"That's the fucking plan." Bakugo tugged on his outer layers, a short-sleeved spandex shirt and sweatpants. He slid his giant gauntlets on and then the newer, thinner leg gauntlets. Above those, he slipped on his leather and metal clad boots. His orange harness was last and he was already back at the elevator.
Bakugo's work phone rang and he answered. "Oi, I'm already on my damn way." He was angry at Chief Sato for going to the press instead of the heroes. The Chief said it had been twenty minutes since he received the call—twenty minutes that Bakugo could already be in the air. He was even more pissed off at the idiotic decision to reveal Yuki.
He had to act fast.
"Ready?"
"Let's go," Kirishima said.
The elevator dinged on their roof and Bakugo darted toward it. Hatsume had given it some upgrades herself two months ago, and Bakugo was ready to test it out.
