"Tamiko Tada." Yuki walked across the office with a paper in hand. She slammed it on Chief Sato's desk. "That's our finger-gun lady."

"But the Tada's are—"

"The wealthiest family in Japan? So why is Tamiko frequenting joints with people like Botan Iwata? Not sure. Togashi's looking at the Tada's financial records. Maybe they ran into an issue. With your permission, I'd love to bring Nakazawa's team into this."

Chief Sato quickly agreed. "Any information Nakazawa has on any of this is invaluable."

"How'd you handle breaking up with Midorya?" Yuki blurted out.

Uraraka smiled sadly and that was all the answer Yuki needed. Her heart ached. Still, Uraraka cleared her throat and pushed her food around on her plate. "Well, we broke up for mutual reasons. I personally couldn't handle seeing him come home with so many injuries and he needed someone who could stomach that. He's Deku, you know? Number one hero. He's not going to slow down for any reason."

Yuki picked up a piece of beef and set it back down. Bakugo's injuries never once bothered her, she realized. "I feel like...I'm pushing myself more than ever at work, which is amazing. But it's not...what I want."
    "It gets better."

The spear through the heart told Yuki it didn't. She shook her head. "Please don't lie to me, Uraraka."

"Your quirk," Uraraka laughed dryly. "I forgot about that."

"If you still love him, why aren't you telling him?"

"I've come to peace that this is the best course of action." Uraraka truly believed that. "Maybe in ten or twenty years, things might be different. But right now with our careers..."

"It's tearing me apart," Yuki confessed. It was her first time saying it out loud. It felt good to let it brisk away in the wind. "It's tearing me apart and I don't know what to do about it. On one hand, I'm achieving what I've always wanted but on the other hand I suddenly know the power of that stupid 'you don't know what you have until it's gone' quote."

Waves crashed into Yuki. Sympathy and pain alike. They washed over her like making a faulty move on a surfboard when you crash into the water and the waves crack over you. Uraraka smiled softly. "What significantly helped me was going on dates with other people. Izuku was the only guy I'd ever been with, you know? I'd never even thought of dating anyone else."

"But it never worked out." Yuki sighed. She didn't need Uraraka's pounding heart to know. If anything had worked out, Uravity would have a new boyfriend. Plain and simple.

"Just try it. One date." Uraraka smiled. "Maybe with Kirishima?"

Yuki's head shook before she'd even realized it. "That's too close to Katsuki."

"Oh come on, Yuki! Everyone shipped you guys together. You wouldn't believe how shocking it was when we saw you kissing Bakugo. No one saw that coming."

Yuki chuckled. "I don't think it's that you guys didn't see it. You just chose to ignore it because he's a bastard."

"Touche." Uraraka frowned. "I think a part of Kirishima died that night, yeah? Did you know he cried?"

"Of course I did..." Yuki trailed off. "I knew it better than everyone else. I knew the moment Ei realized he had a crush on me. I felt his butterflies."

Uraraka opened her mouth and shook her head. Yuki tilted at the risky urge and Uraraka lightly laughed. "If you don't mind me asking, why Bakugo back then? It made no sense. Everyone would've chosen Kirishima a hundred times over before even thinking about Bakugo."

Yuki thought. She'd always known the answer to that. A tear escaped the corner of her eye and she set her chopsticks down with a lost appetite. "I was the only one who could see Katsuki as he truly was. You all saw a spoiled rich brat, maybe a demon. But to me? He's the entire rainbow. He wears his emotions on his sleeves and everyone else is blind. If you'd just listen to him for even ten seconds, you could've seen them loud and clear. I mean think about it. Really think about it. How many times has he saved you?"

Uraraka shook her head. "But why him over Kirishima?"

"Ei is nice. He is so incredibly, stupidly nice. He might be the nicest man in the world, but there is no one more honest than Katsuki. Why don't you date Eijirou if you're this obsessed over him?"

Uraraka laughed. "Trust me, I've tried. He doesn't date."

"What?"

"You didn't know that?" Uraraka wondered. "I think that's the part of him that died, Yuki."
