The next morning, Emily knocked on her father study softly knowing Ben would be in there working. She slowly opened the door and smiles at him. "I finished it...I want you to read it." She said slowly handing it to him.  Emily sighs as he slowly unfolds it's "No, don't open it now! Not while I'm in here." She said quickly scaring him slightly

"Okay."

"Read it when I'm gone." She said

"You mean... when you're dead?" He said slowly,Emily pulls a face "Dude, no, I mean, like, when I'm in the other room." She points to the door

"Oh. Gotcha. Will do." Ben said laughing a bit "Now, I have to go make a miraculous recovery." Emily said a she opened and closed the door walking out to the dinning room quietly. Everyone was quiet until Maggie spoke "Would anyone like some tea?" She asked "Tea sounds nice." Mrs Dickinson said as Maggie pours some into her cup. "Do we have any peppermint?" Emily asked softly, her mother jumped up shouting "It's a ghost!" As she backs away

"No, Mother. It's actually me." She said looking from her mother to her other family members "Emily, shouldn't you be in bed?"

"It's the most amazing thing...I woke up this morning and the headache was gone. I don't feel dizzy, no more sweats, I feel... wonderful." She explained with a smile

"Told you she didn't have yellow fever." Lavinia said from the other side of the table

"Praise be. Let's get some food into you. Something that'll stick to your ribs." Maggie said as she started piling food onto her plate. Emily turned to her mother "I'm sorry if I scared you, Mom." She said "Yes, well, it's good you're out of bed." Mrs Dickinson slowly hugs her "Now you can go wash the sheets." She whispered to Emily and pulled away from the hug as Emily turned to look at her father she places a hand on Austin's shoulder, he holds her hand. "It's okay, Dad. I'm not gonna die" the whole family was happy Emily wasn't going to die. "Well, I will one day..But probably not for, like, a long, long time." Emily said as she walks to her seat, her plate was packed with bread and other food. She takes the roll of bread and eats it.

Emily stood in the flower archway picking at the flower petals as she mutter "He likes the poem. He likes it not. He likes it. He likes it not. Who cares if he likes it? He's going to like it, right?" She continued to mutter to herself as she picked and threw the petals onto the floor. She didn't realise the two Gilbert sisters standing there.

"Emily?" Sue asked, the brunette haired poet spun around to see Sue then she looked towards the Y/h/c haired songwriter and her eyes lit up. "Y/n? Sue?" Emily walked towards the two, who held bags in their hands. They both wore black dresses.

"Is it really you? Not a figment of my imagination?" Emily asked Y/n, who nodded slowly "I'm real...But you're out of bed." Y/n questions "Yeah.Up and at 'em. Feeling good." She said happily "But in your letter
you said you were sick." Sue states "I was...feeling fatigued." Emily said as her smile begins to drop bit by bit.
