"You're all insane." I was sat on the island crossed legged as the boys all stood there on their phones. I looked at Noah who'd made the remark and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you coming or not?"
"Are you actually serious?"
"Yeah why not?"
"Because this is the single most spontaneous thing I've ever seen in my whole life." Noah put his coffee sup down and I looked at Oscar and laughed.
"He doesn't know about easter half term?" Oz shook his head as he scrolled and showed his phone to Georgie.
"What happened at Easter?"
"We literally stood in the airport, looked at the board and bought the tickets to the first flight away."
"Jesus."
"It's not uncommon for us to do this. We just thank David and leave."
"Who's David?" The boys lifted their heads and laughed as I turned red.
"David is her sugar daddy."
"Oh my god barely." I climbed down from the counter. "I'm going to pack. Let me know when you guys choose somewhere."
I opened the front door, slamming it shut behind me so they knew I'd gone into the front garden for a cig. I just needed the hit of it right now. The boys had ranted for a full 20 minutes about my birthday before I shrugged and said what can we do now? Hop on a plane 8 days before uni starts again? I didn't think they were actually going to do it.
"Loz." I turned around as I lit the cigarette. "They need to know where your passport is."
"Bookshelf, third shelf down, back right hand corner." Noah held up one finger and pulled his phone out. I sat back up on the wall like I always did when I smoked. Standing seemed obsolete if I was packing my lungs with smoke anyways. I shook the ash from the end with a quick flick of the end before putting it back in my mouth. He looked back at me and leaned against the wall as he pushed his phone back into his pocket.
"Are you going to be a prick again?"
"I don't think I was being a prick in the first place." I rolled my eyes and puffed the smoke out towards him. He wafted it away before moving closer to me. "I think you were rude for walking away though."
"I had my reasons."
"I know you did." He crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall opposite me. "Fin told me I made you uncomfortable?"
"I'm surprised you couldn't tell smart guy."
"I could." I raised an eyebrow at him and he smiled. "That was kind of the point. To see how far I can push you."
"What do you mean push me?" I furrowed my brow and put the cigarette between my lips.
"Why do none of them know about last summer Charlie?" I stared at him. Keeping the cigarette between my lips.
"I don't know what you mean."
"Don't bullshit me." He stepped closer. "Why did none of them know I was in town? That I was in the club that night?"
"Because it didn't happen." I blew the smoke out and he took another step closer. "Nothing happened that night Noah."
"No nothing did happen but are you going to sit there and tell me you didn't want it to? That what you were whispering in my ear was nothing more than just old friends?"
"That's exactly what it was."
"No it wasn't."
"Noah. You're pushing again."
"Just tell me I'm right and I'll drop it." He reached forward and moved my hair behind my ear. "Tell me you didn't just want me to be a one night stand. Because I can see it in your face that you didn't then and you don't now."
"Noah-" My heart was beating loud and fast I could barely hear him speaking over it. "I didn't even know it was you."
"I know you didn't." He smirked and stepped even closer so his legs were pressed up against mine. "You did when you saw me yesterday afternoon though."
"Well yeah." I let the smoke out again, turning my head. I pulled the cigarette back up to my mouth but he took it from my fingers before I could. I silently watched him put it in his mouth and take a long sexy drag. God.
"I missed you Charlie." He took a drag of the cigarette before putting it back in my mouth. "I don't know what you're going through right now but seeing you all over those guys last night. I have never been filled with the jealousy that I felt. I wanted it to be me so fucking bad." I shakily pulled the stick away from my lips, letting the smoke sit on my lungs for as long as possible. I didn't want to breathe. He was stealing all my air anyway. "You're shaking."
"I can still feel how you kissed me that night." He was slowly pushing himself between my legs and I was letting him. His hands were on the wall on either side of me and my god I have never wanted him more.
I'd spent a year kissing other people, hoping that I'd find someone who made me feel the way he had with that one kiss. No one had. Not a single one of the 30 guys I'd slept with in the past year had made me feel anywhere close to how he did when he kissed me outside the club before Harry came out and he vanished into thin air. I was angry for months that he ran. This total stranger had given me a kiss I would never be able to untaste and I didn't even know if he was a student, or if he lived locally. I was so drunk I could barely remember his face. I tried everything to find him. All the online dating sights, all the social medias. He'd come in, changed my life and it was like he never existed.
And then one day over a year later, he's stood there in my kitchen when my world was crumbling.
I'd stood there staring at him for what felt forever. His cheeky little smile telling me without words he was exactly who I thought he was. I was glad the boys were there and they pushed me, bringing me back into reality. But I still needed and ice cold shower before we went out.
"Me too." He sighed as his hands finally set themselves on me. "It's all I've thought about all year." I could feel that my face was burning red. I felt like my face was on fire with him being here, let alone with his hands on me. "I really want to do it again." His voice was barely above a whisper now. I have never been this turned on by someone. Ever. Jesus.
"I'll ask them hold on." Alfie's voice was muffled but I knew he was coming. I pushed Noah back and put the cig back in my mouth, sitting up straight and taking in a deep breath. The door opened and Alfie crossed his arms as I blew smoke out in the opposite direction. He hated me smoking. "Are you guys bothered what board we go on?" I shook my head.
"No David's paying for it." I tilted my head and smiled. "Or rather I am with his money." Alfie laughed and walked back inside, leaving the door open behind him. Thank fucking god. Noah looked at me, the door and then the space between us.
"I'm coming."
"You don't have to."
"Oh. I do."
