I pushed my door open, looking back at Ryan who was already pissing herself with laughter.

"HELLO RANDOM MEN THAT LIVE IN MY HOUSE RENT FREE." We'd been getting ready at hers all day so I'd not seen them since they got home. We had been crying at the thoughts of their reaction to my hair. They were going to go mental.

"LOZ." I heard footsteps upstairs and the creaking of doors being pulled open followed by 4 different songs all mushing together. I looked up at the banister as the boys gathered. I put on my biggest smile as they all stood their dead faced.

"What?"

"What have you done to your hair?" Me and Ryan burst into laughter as she came in beside me and closed the door.

"What you don't love it?" Ryan fiddled with it, fluffing it out slightly before I turned around.

"IS THAT A TATTOO?" Fin ran down the stairs and moved my hair away from my back. My laughter slowed as he pulled the back of my top to get a proper look at it. It snapped back against my skin and I turned to see him glaring at Ryan. "I told you to call me if she went off the rails."

"Oh please, dying your hair and getting a tattoo isn't going off the rails." She rolled her eyes and I giggled as he he looked at me.

"She's my friend. You really think she wouldn't have my attitude?" He looked back at her and I saw a sly little smile take over his face.

"You were responsible for her." She pushed him to the side, following me into the kitchen.

"She's responsible for herself. She doesn't need a babysitter." I nodded at her as I poured us both a drink and we spun back to Fin with them in hand. He was looking between us as we stood in the same position, similar but different outfits.

"You're a bad influence." He looked her up and down but was still smiling. I let out a loud laugh and he snapped his eyes to me.

"Someone really needs to teach you how to flirt because this is not attractive." I rolled my eyes and turned to her. "I'm gonna go finish getting ready. Come up when you've had enough of him."

I walked out and closed the kitchen door behind me, leaving them both alone.  I looked at the other 4 boys who were all stood by the front door staring at me still.

"What are you all staring at?"

"You look weird." I tilted my head and lowered my brow.

"Gee. Thanks George. So nice of you to tell me you missed me this week."

"No, I did." I walked towards them as I could hear Ryan and Fin talking behind the door and it wasn't my place to hear him failing so badly. "What happened?"

"To my hair?"

"To you." I shrugged as I stood in front of them all.

"Girls tend to get broken hearts and then go on a mad streak, dye their hair, get a tattoo when they're super drunk, burn some houses down, smash some shit up."

"Please tell me you did turn into an arsonist." Oz's eyes went wide and I chuckled.

"Don't worry, just the hair dye and the tattoo. And way too many bottles of wine with Ryan." I looked at Oz and tilted my head. "You two would have been really well suited if you'd have beat Fin to it." I nodded back to the door. "He's failing epically though. She thinks he's too protective." I started up the stairs. "Do with that as you will. No fights though." I didn't even look back, just kept walking up the stairs.

Tonight wasn't the night to tell them that David had ended everything when I dyed my hair. I knew he would, he didn't like brunettes. Besides, our whole thing was looks related right? He gave me everything he'd bought for me. All the clothes, the jewellery, the wine. It didn't hurt, there was nothing to hurt. He was just some guy who sent me money. And now I had more time to work a little harder. I was getting so close to my target in my savings. I didn't want to give up yet.

I turned on my speaker and connected my phone to it, continuing the music I'd been playing at Ryan's and in the car. Up beat heart break songs. It made a change from the sad shit I'd been stuck on for the past 6 weeks. But I was still aching.

I'd cut myself off from all my usual antics. I hadn't slept with anyone since Noah. I didn't see the point. I didn't want anyone else anyway. And no one could do to me what he did. I wasn't going to even try. There was a load of laughing from downstairs, followed by Ryan squealing. Oz had definitely stormed in there with his playful charm and was not play fighting with Fin over who got to win her. If she was smart she'd escape and come here. They wouldn't bother her if she's with me. They know not to disturb me whilst I'm getting ready or it takes me 10 times as long.

My door pushed open and slammed behind me, Ryan stood with her back to it looking flustered and bright red in the face.

"I told you they were insane."

"Jesus christ." She chuckled as she walked over. "Oscar just jumped on Fin and nearly pulled the dining table over."

"Ha. Classic." I opened the fake blood and looked at her in the mirror. "If we weren't getting ready they'd be in here causing mayhem. That's one thing with these guys, there is never a dull moment."

"Did you tell Oz that I liked him?"

"No. I told him you two would look good together and that Fin was failing and then told him to do with that as he wanted." I chuckled as I let the red dye drip down my neck. "I love a good basic bitch outfit."

"Vampire bites are the best."

"Right?" I put the cap back on and wafted my neck. "So you like Oscar then?"

"He got my number some how." She raised an eyebrow at me and I looked up at the ceiling.

"That's weird."

"Suspicious right." She stared at me as I held back a laugh.

"If he was to have asked for it that would speak for itself though."

"He asked you for it?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." I laughed and looked back at her. "He was so cute. Asking questions about you and then just said he wanted to ask you something about uni and asked for your number."

"He asked me where the best car park is." I laughed loud and turned around in my chair.

"Oh bless him. That's so cute."
