San's pov
After that nurse hongjoong's words was in my head for the rest of the day. Will I ever find someone? Will I ever have the chance of falling in love?
As I was walking I didn't look where I was going and bumped into someone I squeaked when my face landed on their hard get toned chest I immediately pull away and bowed apologizing over and over and when I look up at who it was I blush "o-oh seonghwa" I said he smiled "hi San it's alright I understand" he said and I nodded it was so awkward for me.
"Are you heading home now?" He asked "oh um yeah I'm just gonna wait for sangie first" I said he nodded "oh wait I think yeosang went home last period" he said my mouth hangs open "what?!" Then I pout "why didn't he tell me?" I whine taking out my phone texting him once so did I put my phone away sighing.
"Thank you for letting me know seonghwa I would've been waiting for a long time if I didn't" I said with a pout he chuckled "of course" he said then I walked away, before he walked beside me "um San do you want to maybe hang out with me? You don't have to I just wanted to ask" he said I blushed hard he wanted to hang out with me?! A cat?!
I was frozen before I snapped out of it and nodded "o-okay" I said shyly he smiled and we both left the school he took me to a cafe and turned to me "what do you want san?" He asked with a tilt of his head I blushed "u-um a pistachio latte and a strawberry cheesecake" I said and was about to take out my wallet to give him the money before I could he ordered both I'll drinks saying "I'll pay for both of ours" I pouted "seonghwa you don't have too" I said he shook his head.
"I insist" he said smiling I huff giving up "fine but I'll pay next time" I said pouting he smirked "so they'll be a next time then?" He asked I blushed "w-well i-i" I was cut off by a soft yet deep chuckle "it's fine San I would love to hang out with you again" he said making me blush even more.
We then got our stuff and sat down at a table "um seonghwa why were you friends with wooyoung if you didn't have anything against cat hybrids?" I asked he shrugged "well at first wooyoung was never really like this he made snarky comments here and there but that was it but then his parents started to put things in his head and lie to him about cat hybrids over time he started believing them" seonghwa finished with a sigh "you know nobody knew this not even jongho but wooyoung was in love with your friend yeosang in freshman year through junior but since his parents put lies in his head he pushed those feelings away. I only found out cause I caught him staring at yeosang one day and he spilled the beans."
When he finished my eyes widen "wait really?! Oh my I never saw that coming!" I said honestly shocked he chuckled "yeah I know I think yeosang is the only one to bring wooyoung back to his senses even though I don't agree with wooyoung's crappy ways he's still my best friend" seonghwa said frowning slightly I don't know why but I didn't like it.
It made me unconsciously pout seeing him frown "sannie why are you pouting?" He asked I gasp "i-i was?" I asked but blushed cause of the nickname he gave me he laughed "your very cute sannie" he said I smiled shyly "thank you" I said and started eating my cheesecake.
"I have a confession to make San..." he said hesitantly I looked up from eating my cheesecake "hm?" I said "I-I've been watching you for two y-years....I know it sounds weird but I've always found you cute and- and I just wanted to protect you from the world because your so innocent and pure and before I knew it I think I've developed a huge crush on you and I always beat myself up because I never stood up for you when wooyoung was bullying you but I promise whether it's wooyoung or anyone else I will protect you" he said my eyes widen and I blushed.
"O-oh" was all I said a blushing mess I was shocked to know someone like seonghwa felt that way about me I almost don't believe him.
"I-I don't know what to say...someone like you likes someone like... me? I don't really care your a dog hybrid it's just....your so handsome, popular and social while I'm just a stupid, too feminine cat hybrid who people seem to hate even his own parents" I said looking down he then gets up and moves his seat closer to mine and hugs me I hug back feeling my tears drop "sannie...when I first saw you I thought you were the most beautiful, ethereal boy I've ever seen your tail and little cat ears just made me like you even more especially these beautiful ears of yours.." he said rubbing them making me purr I blushed and he chuckled "I don't care that your feminine I think that's really hot and beautiful I don't care that your a cat hybrid your really smart san you get top grades in all your classes your very smart, and I've heard you sing a couple times in the music room so so beautiful" he said pulling away and looked in my eyes that made more tears come out my eyes.
"T-Thank you seonghwa!" I said hugging him tight he hugged back kissing the top of my head.
Three hours we spent in that cafe just getting to know each other, laughing and giggling with each other it was time to leave I was sad I didn't wanna leave his side.
We both get into his car and he drives me home when we get there I pout not wanting to leave him he notices and chuckles "why is sannie pouting? Hm?" He asked squeezing my thigh I blush shaking my head "d-don't wanna say it too embarrassed" I said blushing "you don't have to be embarrassed around me kitten" he said softly that makes me blush even more "f-fine! Ijustdontwannaleaveyouyet!" I said fast blushing sadly he heard he smiles.
"I feel the same way but we'll see each other tomorrow won't we kitten?" He said and I looked down a blushing mess "oh? Does sannie like when I call him kitten?" He teased I whined "hwa stop it!~" he laughed "okay okay I'll see you tomorrow okay? How about I pick you up?" He asked and I nodded eagerly making him chuckle.
As I was getting out I suddenly stopped and turned to him he raised a brow "sannie? Is something-" I cut him off by giving him a peck on the lips the I get out the car closing the door walking fast back to my house and when I get inside I put a hand over my heart which was beating fast.
A smile made its way to my fast which didn't last long because my parents walked into the living room with frowns on their faces.
