Third pov
Hongjoong sees his childhood friend after 11 years and he's not sure how to react...
Hongjoong was with his friends seonghwa, wooyoung and San they were all talking and chatting until wooyoung's boyfriend yeosang came over "hey guys!" He greeted with a smile wooyoung smiled and pulled him on his lap yeosang giggles and pecks wooyoung's lips.
"Hey sangie" hongjoong says with a smile yeosang returns it "by the way did you guys hear the news?" Yeosang said ms they all shook their heads no "we're having a new student" he said "really?! Is it a boy or girl?" San asked excitedly yeosang giggled "well I was listening to the professors conversation and they said it was a boy he's actually coming back to Korea from America" yeosang said
"Wow~" San and wooyoung said at the same time "well maybe he can teach you guys some English because I'm retiring from that" hongjoong said jokingly they all pout "oh come on joongie don't be like that" seonghwa said with a pout and puppy eyes hongjoong rolled his eyes and looked away.
Seonghwa then laughed "I need new friends" hongjoong mumbled and they all instantly started whining and complaining he couldn't help but laugh he really did love his friends even if they were pains in his ass.
"I also heard that yunho was friends with the new kid too because he also visited the states and met him there and mingi also met him too so their all friends" yeosang said "wow it really is a small world" hongjoong said and yeosang giggled "indeed hyung" he said and then him and wooyoung made out hongjoong gagged "if your going to make out at least go to the bathroom or better yet go home!" Hongjoong grumbled they didn't stop though making him sigh.
Then he heard a tiny moan but not from the woosang couple as he called them but the sanhwa couple he groaned "and this is why I said I need new friends!" He said getting up and walking away from the table as he was walking out the lunchroom he bumped into a hard chest he gasped but he never fell as strong arms wrapped themselves around his waist making him shoot his eyes open, shocked.
But when he got a good look at the males face his face went from confusion to sadness to shocked "y-you- j-jongie?" He whispered and jongho smiled "hi joongie hyung miss me?" He asked hongjoong didn't know what to do he didn't know if he should cry, shout or just be angry or be happy he pushed jongho away and ran away from the lunchroom he had so many emotions that he couldn't decipher...
He ran to the roof of the school a place he went to have a peace of mind and to look up at the sky.
Once he got there he sat on the ground and let the tears down his face seeing him after all these years brought back all those memories he pushed away all those feelings he pushed away...he remembered how he fell in love with jongho when they were children and he remembered how safe he felt in his arms even as children.
Jongho was 2 years younger than him but he never failed to make hongjoong shy or blush..he also remembered the promise they made to each other but right after jongho left him which broke his little heart. He tried to hate him but he just couldn't bring himself too seeing him after all these years he just couldn't deal with the emotions that hit him like a truck.
He continued to cry for another hour before he took a tiny nap without realizing even closing his eyes when he woke up he gasped and stood up shocked he actually feel asleep he took out his phone seeing it was 2:10 and school ends in literally 10 minutes he also seen he has missed texts and calls from San, wooyoung, seonghwa and yeosang asking him if he was okay and where did he go he sighed and called seonghwa who picked up immediately.
"Yah kim hongjoong! Where are you? Are you okay? Where did you go? Why did you suddenly leave like that? Who is that new guy and do you know him?" Seonghwa rambled his questions all at once making hongjoong chuckle "wae? Don't laugh I'm being serious here!" Seonghwa whined "hyung where are you? Are you okay?!" San asked hongjoong sighed with a smile ruffling his red hair.
"I'm fine guys I just went to the roof and I fell asleep by accident thinking about old memories" hongjoong said and made his way downstairs to meet his friends "what memories? Is it that guy?" Wooyoung asked hongjoong frowned "y-yeah" he answered "where are you guys?" He asked "outside waiting for you joong" seonghwa said and hongjoong hummed hanging up he then went outside in front of the school immediately seeing his friends he walked up to them and tapped san's shoulder making the said male jump and him laugh.
San poured "hyung! That wasn't funny you know I get scared easily" he whined and hongjoong giggled "sorry but it was so worth it" hongjoong said and wooyoung cackled as well making San pout more and hug seonghwa burying his face in the said male's neck seonghwa smiled at him "that wasn't nice joong" seonghwa said and hongjoong nodded "I'm sorry sannie~" he said with a smile and San whined not moving his face from seonghwa's neck.
Hongjoong giggled at his cuteness "yah don't think your off the hook you have some explaining to do kim hongjoong" seonghwa said holding san's waist and wooyoung along with yeosang even San nodded hongjoong sighs softly "I know hyung" he mumbled and fiddled with his fingers.
