Allergy Season. The worst time for literally anyone allergic to pollen, and that included you. But it was your chore week, your 7 day binge of tidying up, 7 night full of sweet incenses burning.
Also known as the dreaded Spring Cleaning.
But your body has other ideas.

You were going to be in full gear today: Extra apron, hair tied under a bandana, feather duster in one hand, broom and dustpan in the other, and even a mask to keep the dust and chemicals from getting to you.
Too bad the pollen had already taken you out. You hadn't even made it out of bed today. Your nose was completely stopped up and runny at the same time for starters, and you had a sinus pressure headache so bad that you were crying. And that crying had set your eyes into being blurred with tears uncontrollably. Not to mention the fever and chills going back and forth through your system, draining you of any real energy you had other than getting up to use the bathroom.
But you were still fighting it. You had to get the cleaning out of the way like you had been planning already.

Loki had noticed that you hadn't come out of your room for over two hours now, resting his hand back on the kitchen counter as he sipped tea. At first he was just going to leave you be, it's not like he was going to disturb your rest. But now, this was bothering him. Setting his cup down, he headed upstairs to your room, and tried his chance at opening the door, but it was locked. So, he knocked. "Y/N, if you're awake then could you open the door please?" Getting no response, he invades your mind, but all he gets is how much you hate the weather. Waiting for a moment, the sound of your body thudding heavily on the floor causes him to pick the lock with magic and barge in.
The sight of you looking terrible from the allergies stops him in his tracks, and he's surveying the room. You've gone through at least four boxes of tissues alone, and have missed every shot of getting the balled tissues ones into the trash bin. He's never seen you like this before, and it clicks in his mind that you are definitely not well today. "Y/N, what's wrong with you?" You are trying to get back up off the floor as he's coming over, and raise your hand weakly to stop him. "N.. no.. you.. you'll get sick.." You say weakly, and everything around you is dulled by your flared up sinuses. "You sound awful.."
Feeling him scoop you up off the floor anyway and put you back on the bed, you groan weakly. "You're burning up, too.. and you're a clammy mess."
You try to get back up, but feeling his cold hand rest on your head as he makes you lay back down causes you to give up. "I... Cleaning up..." You mumble, sniffling through your stuffy nose. Loki searches around before going to the window, opening it so that there's fresh air coming in, before he sees what's causing your troubles.
Pollen. And loads of it outside, flowing freely in the air. "This is going to be a long day for you..."

Loki ends up calling Stark, arguing with him about how sick you are and that you'd need a doctor. Eventually Loki gets what he wants as Pepper ends up hearing the conversation, and they're driving out with Rogers and a private doctor that they trust.
"It's a good thing you did seek help. She's having a bad reaction to this allergy Season." The doctor says, as you're now laying in bed properly with your head raised up by pillows so that you can breathe better. Arms crossed, Steve watches over you. "What's wrong with her?" The doctor takes some things from her medical bag. "Sinus pressure, sinus blockage, sinus drainage, a high fever of 102°, body aches, coughing, and chills. Thankfully it hasn't progressed to strep throat or flu, but that doesn't mean it won't." Pepper rubbed her arms a bit with concern. "Yeah, that's definitely not good."
Loki watches the doctor fills a syringe with clear medicine. "What is that?" The doctor looks at Loki. "I'm administering a sinus cocktail shot. It'll help relieve that pressure she's having, and hopefully help her feel better soon. But, this won't do it alone." She cleans a spot on your shoulder, injecting the medication into you gently. "Whatever you do, you need to make sure that first and foremost that she's resting. She can take ibuprofen or Tylenol to help with the fever and headaches, too, but don't overdo it. Clear broth soups, liquids, and maybe toasted bread or crackers to help soak up whatever's in her stomach. Make sure she gets fresh air, and that you're disinfecting everything. That pollen and whatever dust is already in the house isn't going to help her one bit. That's all I can do for now, but I'll be checking up on her in three days. If you notice her getting worse, don't be afraid to call or take her to an actual hospital."
