In-between Love Sweat And Tears (Loki Short Stories And One Shots)

Snow

(a quick break from the short story I've ended up developing. This is definitely just a one shot in which you enjoy the winter weather with the God of Mischief.)

"Look at all the snow!!!"

You were staring outside of the large window in the Avengers lounge of Stark Tower, basically bouncing on the balls of your feet.

New York snow always seemed super magical to you, and this week was no exception. It was the beginning of winter, and you were already blessed with the softest and biggest snowflakes gently falling to the ground in flurries.

"Does the snow always bring you such joy, Y/N?" You feel cool hands gently resting just above your hips, and you nod happily. "It always gets me giddy. I'd love to go and make a snowman." "A snowman? Is it one of your Midgardian things?" You lift your gaze up quickly with excitement to find amused and bewildered green eyes staring down at you in return. "Yes! Do you wanna build a snowman?"

As the words leave your mouth, Thor is just now coming into the lounge and overhears. "Is it a man made of snow?" "Yes! And a carrot for a nose, and sticks for arms, and rocks for eyes. Ooh! We can go to the park nearby, there should be plenty of snow!!"

Loki chuckles, enjoying just how worked up you've become. "Well, we should make sure you're bundled up safely first, my pet." You beam happily, kissing his cheek before you're pulling him along with you, shouting to Thor to put something warm on as you go.

Sliding on a sweater and pants, you're rushing around a bit from your excitement and trip over your own two feet, and land right into a pair of arms that save you from hitting the floor instead. "Y/N, you need to be careful and calm yourself." Despite saying this sternly, Loki is chuckling with happy amusement.

You laugh nervously, smiling up to Loki as he helps you stand straight. "Thanks, but I'm fine. It's just going to be so much fun and I don't know how to actually calm down!-"

A pair of lips hit yours gently, and instantly you're melting into the kiss Loki's entrapped you in. Feeling his arms snake around your waist and pull you close to his chest, your hands gently rest on the back of his head as your fingers entangle themselves in his hair. The kiss lasts a few moments, before Loki breaks it slowly and rests his forehead against yours gently. "Did that help, my love?"

"Y-Yes.." You say breathlessly, staring shyly into his intoxicating green eyes. Grinning softly, Loki lets you go to get himself dressed warmly.

Slipping on some boots and a beige winter coat, you're greeted by Loki wrapping a deep blue scarf around your neck gently and placing a kiss on your forehead.

You take in the sight of him, your breath hitches in the back of your throat.

Even though he's wearing a simple pair of pants with a green cardigan vest over a black sweater, and a deep green scarf around his neck, he looks so... So amazingly beautiful. The way the colors of his clothing both compliment and contrast against his pale skin and black hair, and make his green eyes even more vivid. His lips part softly as he looks at you, the corners of his mouth tilting upwards before his light pink tongue darts across his top lip, and it's like he says something to you.

Wait, he is saying something to you.

"H-Huh?"

"I asked if you needed hand mittens, my dear."

You realize that you've been staring at him, and even though your relationship has progressed so much in a short time, you find yourself shying away from him as you hide part of your face under your scarf. "I-I uh.."

Coming over and closing the gap between you both, Loki smiles down softly to you. "Enjoying the view, are we?" You avert your gaze, your cheeks burning. "W-Well, I mean.." "Were you perhaps wanting a better view?" His fingers gently dance under your chin before he's lifting your head up and he's trapping you with his loving gaze. "Or another taste?" Your lips part a bit as you answer him. "I'd like both..."
