Haunted Mazes

You were biting your bottom lip nervously as you found yourself in a rather unnerving predicament.

Halloween was just a few days away, and Tony had decided to rent out a large haunted house complete with zombie trail for the thrill seekers and a haunted corn maze to host a large party.

He had basically forced you and Loki to be there, too. Loki had actually been looking forward to this, but you...

You were a hermit crab that didn't delve into things like this. Your version of Halloween was eating chocolatey delights and pizza with drinks, curled up on your couch and watching scary movies. Not actually being a part of it.

And he hadn't let you be in casual clothing either for the event. Everyone was dressed up in their favorite or last minute outfit, and you were part of the latter.

Slightly tugging at the costume you had gone with (a bloody modern day nurse with a plague mask), you sigh shakily.

You could hear the sound of the actual party some ways away, and could at least see the spot lights in the sky moving around with aesthetic Halloween colors, but you were smack dab in the middle of a super large corn field.

Completely lost, and turned around with nothing more than a finicky flashlight.

You don't even know how it happened. Weren't there chaperones in case drunk or overly scared people got lost in this kind of place? And you had been a group! Surely they noticed you were no longer among them?

This was partly your fault, though. You merely thought that it would be like a casual stroll in a square like at home, seeing as Thor had basically dragged Loki into the actual haunted house despite his protests.

And the party Tony was hosting was out in the open, so surely they'd notice your disappearance?

Probably not, or at least Loki would once you hadn't been present for the majority of the night.

If he could find you amongst all of the other attendants (and the ones dressed as nurses or doctors, no less.)

Shaking your head, you sigh again and just try to keep calm. Loki would definitely find you once he grew concerned.

Gathering your courage, you start to trek through the giant stalks of unpicked corn again, sweeping the beam of the flashlight along the ground to find either the markers or paths.

Admittedly, Loki rather enjoyed the scary pranks caused by the workers inside the haunted house, and openly laughed at his brother's fearful screaming of even the slightest jump scares. At first he downright rejected the thought of having to deal with not only his oaf of a brother, but also all of the mortals dressing up as things that either terrified or delighted them. He had seen quite a few doppelgangers of the team, and even a few of himself (including rather lewd and skimpy versions by the mortal women).

However, the audacity a few of them had to say that  he wasn't the real Loki and then accompanied it with an air of know-it-allism just proved his point that a good bundle of mortals lacked basic intelligence. He had dressed in the bare minimum, sporting black cat ears and a long tail infused with his magic to make it more realistic, with his outfit itself being a simple Victorian era style of a suit. (Someone said that he highly resembled the actor from a movie called Crimson Peak, but he'd have you show him the reference after tonight.) Thor had put a bit more thought into his own outfit, and had gone as an inflated dinosaur with tiny arms. A T-Rex, that's what it had been called.

He had gone through the haunted house twice already, at first with Thor and then sneaking back in to act as one of the many displays of horrid attractions (he cackled especially hard when he scared a few lads hard enough that they seemed to have panic attacks and piss their pants), but he wanted to go through it with you this time. Not that he wanted to scare you, but he wouldn't mind you clinging to him like a scared child or thank him with kisses for protecting you from a giant clown wielding a knife. It's not like he was planning on that, but it was always good to think ahead.
