You and Loki had been lucky enough to not have been caught last night. No one had even been in the lodge during your 'alone time', they had only come back in right before you and Loki finished with showering together. And they decided not to nag you two on spending the first night together either, so it was a win win. This morning before the sun had started to rise, you were resting your face against Loki's chest peacefully as both of you were holding each other, before something was making you wake up. Your eyes opened slowly before you carefully sat up, and stared down at Loki's sleeping expression. For a moment, you felt numb from sleep, and then you turned your head to look out the window. Something was watching you from a high branch, staring into the window and straight at you. Rubbing your eyes, you blink a few times before looking again, but whoever it may have been is gone now, and you merely assume that you were still dreaming. You lay back down carefully and snuggle into Loki again, making him pull you closer and rest his head on top of yours. Taking in his sweet cinnamon scent, you instantly fall back asleep.
The next instance that you wake up, you stay up. All of the guys are up by now, discussing what today's agenda would be as they stand around in the kitchen, but you're not in a good mood anymore. "Are you okay, Y/N?" Peter asks while he brings you over a cup of tea, and you nod as you're rubbing your face. "I just feel like I've been hit by a truck, I must have slept in a weird angle.." "You slept just fine, my dear. Last night's exercise could just be hitting you now." Loki said it so casually, Peter looked at him with confusion. "Exercise?" "Just a few things to help her limber up for today's training." You look at Loki, your cheeks burning as he only smirks at you and goes to sit down at the rather nice island in the kitchen. "Anyways, what is it that we're doing today?"
You look around carefully as you stand alone in the middle of the woods, randomly placed you add. Lifting up a walkie to your lips, you press the button in the middle. "What exactly am I doing, again?" "Being monitored right now. Just walk around and do.. stuff." You roll your eyes and sigh heavily. "Walk around and do stuff..." You mutter to yourself. You end up singing to yourself as you walk. "No chance, no, I won't say I'm in love... You swoon, you sigh, why deny it, uh oh.."
A whole hour passes as you explore the woods singing random songs, and you rub your temples as you develop a headache. "Great.." You look at the walkie, and blink as the battery is completely drained. "Fun." Sighing as you feel duped by the guys, you mumble under your breath. "Odd number of people to train with, of course I'm by myself." You look around, spotting a downed tree and going to sit on it.
You close your eyes to listen to the sound of the woods around you, before the crunching of twigs makes you look back up, and your breath hitches in your throat. A ton of deer were surrounding you, and not once did you notice until you sat down. You don't dare to move as a single huge antlered buck walks up to you, its eyes like black mirrors as it gets insanely close to you. Pretty soon the rest of the deer are surrounding you just as close, but then, they all begin to settle down and lay around you. You let your breath out slowly, and look around as you relax. "The first time I've had deer do this.." Carefully, you reach up and rest your hand atop of the large buck's head, and as it doesn't react you gently pet it. "I don't feel weird, and this is kind of relaxing.. So..me in a calm mood, beckons a horde of deer?" You drop your hand down to your lap, studying all of the deer around you. Black mirror eyes, calm breathing, and all in unison.
You get up carefully after a moment, and watch as the deer start to do the same. "Oh, uh... Go home?" You stare as they seem to do as you say, and have your heart jump out of your chest when they suddenly scatter as if they've been scared. "Oh my-!" You grab your chest and try to breathe slowly to calm down, looking around again to see that you're alone again. "Okay, noted. Deer go back to normal skittish herbivores when I tell them to leave." You check yourself over, but it still feels as though you haven't had anything happen to your body.
Making your way through some more of the forest, you double-check as the thought of unwanted critters races through your mind, and you sigh in relief. "No blood sucking ticks, no fleas, no random ants." You check on the walkie again, and since it's still out of juice, you stop to check the actual battery. "Ugh, still dead.-" Something races past you from the corner of your eye, and you quickly turn to look.
Worried, you bite your lip and start to head towards the direction of the lodge. "Okay, darkness... Uh.. should probably conjur up something that'll protect us... Or a portal.." You check your feet before seeing that there's a trail of black liquid smoke coming from you, and you become confused. "Oh... I'm scaring myself, fun.." You kneel down carefully, touching the trail gingerly. "It's solid... Noting that too, cause I have no idea how I'm doing this. Would be so helpful if I didn't have a crappy walkie-."
Something breathes softly against the back of your neck, and you stiffen up.
