Chapter 16: The War of 1987

"Alright come on, right in the middle." Nancy says, pointing at the empty spot in the middle of the living room.

Hopper Steve Johnathan and Charles carry the bathtub out of the bathroom, them grunting before they sit the bathtub in the middle of the living room. Steve and Sue both hold big buckets, going to pour the warm water inside of the bathtub, Nancy and Johnathan taking buckets and pouring the water inside of it as well. After they get the right amount of water in the tub Dustin goes to put salt in the water, him testing it out and putting a egg in the water to see it floating.

"So what exactly is this suppose to do?" Sue questions, looking at Eleven begin to take off her jacket and her pants, just leaving her in her shorts and shirt.

"I've seen it with my own two eyes, it's to channel her secret physic superpowers." Argyle mentions, nodding his head while he smiles.

"It helps to concentrate my mind more." Eleven mentions, going to step in the tub.

"And are you sure this is going to work? To bring me in with you?" Kali questions, going to sit down besides the tub, sitting cris crossed.

Eleven nods her head simply, truth be told she doesn't know if it will work but it is her mind and her powers, she should be able to do what she wants with them and bring someone in with her through the mind. "Yes."

"Have you done this before?" Mike questions, him leaning on the table.

Eleven shakes her head. "No, but it's my mind."

Mike nods his head. "Then it'll work." He confidently mentions.

"All of you stay here." Hopper mentions towards Joyce, Lucas and Erica's parents and Dustin's mom as well as Karen, Dustin, Erica, Mike and Argyle.

"Not going to lie..." Mike says while picking up the katana that Hopper supplied as well as other weapons. "...I like this." Mike mentions, going to swing it lightly.

"Mike be careful." Karen says worried.

"Don't worry I'm a natural." Mike says back.

"Everyone else, let's go." Nancy says, Johnathan Steve and Robin all nodding before going to the door.

Hopper goes to follow them, looking back at them. "You all protect her, protect her." Hopper says while pointing at Eleven.

"She's in good hands." Karen says back, her glancing
around at all of them and all of them nodding in agreement. Hopper nods his head, going to make his way out of the house. All of them go to cram in the car, each of them holding a gun and having one behind their backs. They all drive over to the place where the four gates connected in the middle of the town, all of them going to make their way
out of the car.

"How's the perimeter going?" Hopper questions, both Powell and Callahan going to stand besides him and walking with him.

"It is almost done, torches have been lit." Callahan mentions.

"Good make sure everyone has a weapon and everyone is prepared to fight." Hopper says. The crowd goes a little bit silent when they hear roars, distant roars it seems like from the blow the ground. Nancy and Hopper both share a glance. "Alright everyone this is it!" Hopper yells, making his way in the large perimeter of torches, him going to help Nancy up on the stand.

Nancy looks up at everyone, seeing them holding weapons with fearful expressions, most with guns and some with Malays. She looks over at the school in a distance, seeing wood and planks protecting the school being nailed into the wall and torches around the school as well. "I know we are all scared, I know we are all fearful of what is to happen. I am not going to lie it won't be easy, but it is not impossible!" Nancy yells, letting her body turn in circles to be sure she is looking at everybody. "This son of a bitch decided to come to our world! Our town! Our city! Our safe place! Decided to try and kill our families! Our children! Us! Let's show them! Let's show them all that they made a grave mistake coming to OUR TOWN DEMANDING WAR!" Nancy screams, all of them cheering in agreement while holding out their fists.
