And so it Begins

Saturday arrived and Izuku was a complete mess. Twice he had thrown up due to nerves that not even Ophelia's Silk Touch could not fully ease away.

He still had doubts. He had envisioned that everyone was against his words and the case would be dismissed, forcing him back to live with his so-called mother and back into prostitution. Another would deem him crazy and would be forced to one of the institutions that are famous for neglect of their patients and assaults as well. One gruesome yet comforting thought that plagued his mind was that, if it did fail he would grab the nearest gun and shoot himself dead before going back to that hell.

All this stress was so bad that even the night before he couldn't fall asleep without being plagued by the nightmares invading him like poisonous sludge. For the first time, while he was at the Serpentine's, Eevee took her Flame Forme and cuddled with him to help ease his fear, if only just.

Unfortunately, Eevee could not be with him in court, as she was not involved in the situation and frankly he did not want her to be in there. It will be hard enough for Katsuki and Mitsuki to be in the court for testimony, and he did not want anybody else to be involved as it is.

It also made him sick that he found out that the sorry excuse of a mom is going to play not only the insanity card as well as not even knowing that he was involved in prostitution. The latter will fail miserably as there are solid medical records. But insanity?

His blood was boiling that she would do anything to avoid prison, and secretly he wanted her to go to Tartarus for all the abuse she had given. He may forgive easily, but even for an innocent bunny like him, there is a limit on how much he can give.

So looking at himself in the mirror after cleaning himself up, he heard a knock on one of the court bathrooms.

"Izuku? It's almost time. Are you ready?"

"Yeah, let's just get this shit over with." Izuku said with annoyance, noting that he sounded rude, but with so much stress it was starting to get to him.

"It will lean in our favor, Izuku," Ophelia said as she slid aside to give the greenette room to leave. While heading towards the courtroom door she then looked back at the teen. "Remember, if things start to make you uncomfortable or you start to panic, let us know and we can ask for a break. You are allowed to do so."

"Thanks." That was all he said and they continued to walk towards what Izuku felt was Death Row.

Katsuki Bakugou did not fare any better. His stomach was refusing to let him eat anything even when his mother threatened to shove it down his throat. He even refused to take pain relievers for his arms, as he felt that the pain would help ground him somewhat. The only thing he accepted to take was the Quirk Suppressants, to not only prevent his arms from getting damaged further but as a deterrent to prevent himself from killing the fat whale.

The testimony against Inko would be easy, as he had lost all respect for the bitch after what she had done. However, the hardest part was that he would have to be honest as the blonde was sure they would ask him about the abuse at school and how the whale reacted impassively to the injuries.

That was another thing that is worrying him, the abuse at school. He will have to tell the court that he too played a part in a messed-up way to protect his friend, but it will also label him as an aggressor. His stomach twisted in massive guilt.

The Old Hag loved Izuku just as much as she loved him and the entire Bakugou family made a silent agreement that once this shit is over and the parental rights revoked, she would immediately request after the final verdict to be Izuku's guardian.

Now everything looks good on paper, they have a spare room Izuku can use and they have finances to support the greenette with clothing, food, and more. They will need to be in training to learn about handling panic attacks and PTSD, which would be easy as well since the blonde is currently undergoing therapy himself.

The only monkey wrench in this plan was that he was one of the people who gave the Nerd hell, and that might ban them from adoption. His pride might just have been his downfall and that would hurt not only Izuku but the Old Hag as well.

"Katsuki, hurry up we are going to be late!!"

"Shut it, Hag, I don't need any more boulders on me!" He yelled back and flinched at what he just revealed. A few moments passed when he heard a knock on his door.

"Hey, you doin' ok, Katsuki?" Mitsuki asked softly, now knowing that her son was under just as much stress as she is, if not more. "Are you worried about what would happen?"

Katsuki sat on the edge of his bed and hunched. "...I don't know what the Snake Bitch had told you after the arrest, but I was awake when De-Izuku recounted everything."

Mitsuki's eyes widened and immediately sat next to him and hugged him, putting his head over her chest. Her son started to shake, tears starting to strain his throat.

"H-he had been abused since the age of fucking four! Izuku had to deal with all this for ten years and I had to add to his pain! I caused him even more misery, a shitty way to try to protect him from the other extras, but all I did was t-torture him further."

Mitsuki rubbed the back of her son's back as he let loose his guilt. It was exactly how she felt, she felt she too had abandoned the Little Mochi and she wants to make up for it.

"Then what happened two years ago made me sick at what the fat bitch forced him to do...why didn't he tell us this was happening? How did we not notice sooner?"

The blonde female flinched at that last question. "I think it is due to this fucked up society that treat the Quirkless as nothing. Me being friends with his mom may have been another deterrent."

"Fuck society," Katsuki said, now giving an angry the-world-will-burn look. "I will burn the QRA to the ground, from the inside out."

Mitsuki then gave him a feral grin. "If that is the case, I will follow you to hell and back to achieve that goal. My boy WILL be the protector of ALL, and kill the bastards who get in his way!"

Katsuki chuckled at that after his mom's own encouragement before frowning back to a serious matter. "What would happen, if they decide that we aren't fit for adoption?"

Mitsuki jolted and looked down in sadness. "We can ask if there is a way to reconsider, or if there is additional training we can do. I also know it will be up to Izuku if he wants us, but if they consider us a threat to the Little Mochi's recovery, then there is little we can do."

That is not what the blonde boy wants to hear, but he understood the legal system when it comes to this type of abuse. He just hopes that a silver lining has to be somewhere within this darkness and gives him a second chance.
