Thanks to Izuku's lawyer warning him that King Pin might do counter-charges, he was ready for it. That did not mean he had to be happy about it he was boiling mad that they dared to target the only family who cared about him regardless of Quirk's status.
Oh, they will pay.
He subtly looked back and locked eyes with Katsuki, who looked back at him with wide eyes that the verdanette could not decipher for the first time. Fear? Guilt? Uncertainty? Either way, that did not fit Kacchan in the slightest. Izuku gave his friend an encouraging smile, telling him that it will not come to pass.
Katsuki looked deep into the greenette's eyes and saw that he had no ill will towards him, and that eased his fears but then guilt gripped him like that sludge villain. He does not deserve to be forgiven. He then noticed something was off, like literally. Where are the flames on his back?
"If we do find that these charges are valid, Mr. Pin, then we will set a court date regarding this. However, if I think that it is not, I will toss the charges against the Bakugou's. Do you understand?"
Did that creep just shudder? The two teens thought in shock. She must be more powerful than her status!
"Yes, Your Honor."
Periwinkle nodded and looked at the information. "Mrs. Midoriya, please stand."
The female greenette stood up, waiting for the next information.
"State your full name, age, occupation, and Quirk Status."
"Inko Midoriya, 41, I am a waiter at the Green Bean Coffee, and my Quirk is registered as Attraction of Small Objects."
The judge nodded again as she wrote everything down Inko went back to her seat. She then looked at the boy. "Mr. Midoriya, same questions."
Izuku stood up. "Izuku Midoriya, age 14. I am currently a student at Aldera Middle School, and I am registered as Quirkless."
"Thank you, Mr. Midoriya, please step up to the stand." She replied and he did as she instructed. "Mr. Murdock, you may start."
Murdock stood up and walked to the Judge. "While I am talking, I would like to use my Quirk not only to detect perjury but to ensure my client does not suffer more stress than he is already in. My Quirk is Microsound."
"I will allow it."
Murdock again nodded in approval then turned to his client. "Mr. Midoriya, can you tell me when this first started?"
The verdanette boy gulped nervously and avoided the intimidating glare his 'mother' was giving him. "It first started about a month after she took me to a Quirk Specialist right after my fourth birthday. The doctor ran tests to determine if my Quirk, if any, was delayed. However, the x-rays and the blood tests revealed that I had a 99% chance of being Quirkless."
He heard a few gasps from the witnesses behind him, and his anxiety rose a few levels. "My first warning was the look of anger on her face and I thought she was frustrated at the diagnosis, it wasn't until a few years later when I realized it was directed at me."
"She started demeaning me, calling me names like a Quirkless Choad, retarted, loser, and other degrading names and I did not understand why she switched. I thought that was just another way of raising me or thought that I must have done something wrong to upset her."
Murdock asked another question, causing the Bakugous to flinch. "Have you told anyone about this?"
Izuku shook his head. "I didn't think it was important, nor did I want to be a burden. She was not physical at that time, just verbally abusive."
