"I hate hospitals," I muttered for the hundredth time in the past two minutes. I laid my head back, accidentally hitting the patient alarm which made a nurse come rushing in.
That alarm is clearly too close to my head.
"Everything okay?" She asked, rushing her words out.
"Yeah, sorry. I accidentally hit the alarm with my head." I apologized, shifting into a sitting up position.
She gave me a relieved smile and walked over to the side of the bed, mumbling an 'excuse me' to Luke. "I'll fix this," she told me. She moved the button, asked if everything was okay told me her name was Mandy, then left.
"Hungry?" Like asked, looking up at me from his phone.
"Is it Calum and Mikey? If so, I could go for a coffee," I smiled halfheartedly.
"No caffeine," He reminded. I rolled my eyes and pressed my head back into the stiff hospital pillows.
"Never mind then. I'm not hungry." I closed my eyes after stating at the bland ceiling for a while. I rolled to my side, careful not to mess with my IV and tried to sleep.
I heard the chair behind me squeak, an annoying sound it made every time Luke got up. Then, I felt my phone buzz. I ignored it for the first few seconds, but finally let out a groan and grabbed it, putting it to my ear without looking.
"Hello?" I asked, annoyance clear in my voice.
"Finally," I heard Ashton say. I'd been ignoring his texts an calls all day. "Are you okay? How's everything? I'm coming by now."
"Oh no you're not," I hissed, I quickly pressed the nurse button. Luke sent me a confused look, but I didn't say anything.
Mandy came rushing in.
"Everything okay?" She asked. I nodded.
"Can you do me a favor?" I asked, checking to make sure I was still on the phone with Ashton.
Mandy nodded.
"Ashton Irwin is not allowed to see me, okay?" I tried to sound as nice as possible and bite back the anger I had boiling inside me.
Mandy nodded, "Okay, that's fine. We'll make sure he doesn't get in. A nurse is coming to switch shifts with me, I'll tell her."
