Born enemies, bound by something far more dangerous.
Maven is fire. Adrianna is ice. Their attraction was never meant to exist-and once it does, it refuses to fade.
Every choice costs them something. Every moment together risks everything.

Jetlagged, sleepless with only my Dior sunglasses, I went straight to see my older brother in Sobreviñas towers.
The said building were made up of solid glass and steel building located just two miles away from downtown Makati. It was a two-building complex fenced off by green parkways and high-end boutiques in the ground floor.
I exhaled as I stepped in front of the lobby, a new feeling of giddiness tickling at the back of my mind. I wasn't nervous, for sure. Makati was home even after being away for quite awhile.
Being back here reminded me of the many times I have visited this office to see my Dad, several years ago.
I made my way to the lift, where three people were already waiting. I nodded my thanks as one of the men let me in first, holding the door for me.
The lift dinged signaling that I was already at the 40th floor where my brother's office might be. I stepped out onto the busy office floor that awaited.
A large open space filled with cubicles that were segregated into groups, floor-to-ceiling windows, and various whiteboards and bulletin boards with case information lining the internal walls.
Tucked into the corner, with windows that looked out over the group, was a private office belonging to the CEO.
I passed by several cubicles, looking for his secretary but oddly no one was there. I made my way immediately to his office with a smile creeping up on my face, hoping to surprise my older brother.
But to my end, unfortunately, I was the one who blown away by surprise.
I caught my older brother in a heated moment while kissing a woman, her back was to me as her fingers dug to his hair and pulled him closer. She was sitting on top of the mahogany table and my older brother was standing right between her legs, her skirt slightly pulled up.
They only pulled back when kuya Elliot spotted me right at the door.
Eyes wild with surprise, he said "Adrianna, I wasn't expecting you"
The woman froze, turned around and immediately made a beeline to the door, scrambling to fix her tossed hair and her skirt.
She made an awkward eye contact with me, seemingly embarrassed.
My brows shot up. I couldn't really put a name on the face. She doesn't look familiar to me.
"Ah, the joys of long-haul flight" I said, when the door has been shut behind her "I came straight from my flight."
I made my way to the middle of the office, taking in the changes he has put in the four corners of the room.
This has always been my late father's office and seeing my older brother looking like a younger version of him was making me nostalgic. Covering the walls was a massive floor-to-ceiling window with matching bookcases on the far right and plush dark red carpet.
