"I forgive you..." said Emma. "I don't want you to feel guilty. You're right, you didn't know about these... monsters. But... it was still irresponsible and reckless. So I just say goodbye. Once we get out of here... please... don't call me. I don't want to see you again. I'm not mad at you, but I just don't want to do anything with you. Okay?"
Jacob sniffed again, then nodded understandingly, avoiding looking at her.
"Alright... I get it," he said to the ground.
"Let's go back to the lodge," she suggested and led the way. Jacob followed her with a heavy heart, quickly wiping his tears away once again and letting out a sigh.
They walked for a while in silence when suddenly a rustling noise hit their ears. They stopped and turned towards the noise.
"You hear that?" asked Emma alert. Both of them took a step back. "Should we look?" she asked.
