"I guess it's goodbye then," Laura said looking at all the weary counselors.
"Yeah. Thank you for the clothes," said Max to Jacob.
"You can keep them," said Jacob not giving a shit about his belongings anymore.
Laura stepped to Ryan and offered her hand to him. Ryan accepted, shaking hands with her.
"We're a good team," said Laura smiling.
"Yeah, I wouldn't say that. We did okay," said Ryan with a half-smile.
Laura chuckled.
"Thank you for all your help," she said to the others and sat in Travis' car. Max followed her unsurely. They sat at the farthest end of the seat, as far from each other as possible, both of them staring through the window. Travis looked at them in the mirror.
"Gonna be a fun trip," he said.
"Shut up and drive," said Laura in a tired manner. Max glanced at Laura, then turned back towards his window in a melancholy.
They slowly rolled away, leaving the counselors and that goddamned camp behind.
