Y/N POV

I opened my eyes and saw the sun shining bright upon a glorious day. A special day to be exact!

"Yay! Today is finally here!" I said with joy as I danced around the room.

Everest: "Sheesh, what kind of sugar did you consume this morning?" They asked in a cranky tone.

"Oh Everest, don't you know what today is?" I picked up my blade with a bright smile.

Everest: "The day where I finally have a corporeal body?" They asked sarcastically.

"No, my sharp edge friend. Today is Valentine's Day! A special day to spend it with a special someone. And I'm gonna ask Cuppy to be my Valentine!" I screamed with glee and I spun happily while holding Everest still.

Everest: "Okay, okay, I get it! Just stop spinning!" They screamed as I stopped.

"Just imagine how fun the day is gonna be! Maybe he's gonna have some fun with me or maybe we can stay home all day, listen to soap operas while eating candy and sharing cuddles." I giggled with heart eyes.

Everest: "Yeah...you've officially lost it."

I just laughed a bit. "Oh it's okay, Everest. I'll let you hang out with Mugman almost all day. If anything happens, I'll be able to summon you, okay?" Everest sighed and rolled their eye.

Everest: "Fine. But I swear I'm not gonna participate in those...romance games or whatever they are in town."

"That's the spirit! Now, I'll go eat something while you have some quiet time." I set my blade down and headed out of my room, humming a happy melody to myself as I made my way down the stairs.

I smelled something delicious from the kitchen and made my way to the kitchen. Mugman was sitting at the kitchen table while Cuphead and Elder Kettle were making pancakes.

Mugman: "Y/N, good morning! Happy Valentine's Day." He said with a smile.

"Morning, Mugs. Happy Valentine's day to you too." I smiled as well as I sat down.

Cuphead: "Y/N is awake!? Oh my gosh, perfect!" He exclaimed happily as he nearly rushed a bit.

E.K.: "Cuphead, do be careful. These pancakes take time to make sure the shape is perfect." He said to him.

I tilted my head, curious at what kind of pancakes they were making.

"Mind if I ask what kind of breakfast they are making?"

Cuphead: "Not now, sweet cheeks. It's almost ready!"

I playfully rolled my eyes and looked at the window.

Mugman: "Just to let you know Y/N, we're all going into town to celebrate this lovely day. Chalice will also be there as well so we can all exchange gifts and treats."
