Side Story: An Angel's Symbol

A/N: This is the side story about how your magical symbol is built during Season 3. Enjoy!

Y/N POV

I took a few deep breaths in...and took a few deep breaths out...

"YAH!!!" I swing my hammer against the boulder, causing it to break into pieces of big rubble upon the ground.

I had to act fast as I morphed Everest back into a sword and sliced the rocks into small rectangular shapes. Seems like my speed and sharp slices are getting better.

Everest: "Well done, Y/N. You are getting faster and stronger with each strike and slice." They said, looking satisfied by my own progress.

"Thanks. Could it be because of my angel form or the fact that I've been getting too much support from my boyfriend and family as well?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.

Everest: "How about all of the above? Progress is progress after all." What they said could be actually true. "But why the heck are you chopping up stones for?"

"I thought you saw my sketch earlier about my new teleporting symbol." I replied, showing them my sketch.

Everest: "Isn't that considered a...'blueprint'?" They asked.

"Blueprint, sketch, whatever. I'm gonna make getting home a bit easier for me. With this magic circle, I shall be able to do so." I looked at my sketch again then set it aside and started to pick up some of the perfect shaped rocks.

Everest: "Do you know a spell to...teleport back?" They asked with a little bit of hesitation.

"Of course I do. I just need to take my time to carve the symbols onto them, connect it with my magic and the magic circle is born. Or a teleporting circle or however they call it." I put the stones in my bag one by one until it was heavy enough. "I think that should be enough." I lifted the bag with the power of strength from the element of earth and started making my way back.

Everest: "While we're taking this walk, do you mind if I asked what would happen if your boyfriend gets careless enough to destroy it?"

"He won't. I'll make sure of that." I winked at my sword as I continued my journey back home.

Everest: "That's what I'm afraid of."

Back at the cottage

I hummed a happy tune as I made my way back to the front yard, eager to get to work on my magic symbol. But I gazed at Cups and Mugs standing outside, glaring at each other with sticks in their hands.

Oh boy...wonder what it could be this time.

"Hey, boys. I'm back." I happily said, walking over to them. This made Cups break his expression with happiness, quickly dropped his stick and immediately went over to hug me.

Cuphead: "Y/N, I'm so glad you're back! How was the trip? Did you find anything fun? What about-?" I covered his mouth with my one finger.

"Cuphead, there's no need to ask me too many questions. I thought we already discussed this." I calmly said to him. He gave me a sheepish smile and released me from the hug.
