Author's POV:

"I'm not that hungry. Thank you, Jungkook-ssi," Taehyung says calmly, declining the menu offered by Jungkook.

"I insist," Jungkook gently pushes the menu card towards Taehyung, a soft smile playing on his lips.

"Okay..." Taehyung agrees, his expression unchanging as he glances over the menu, his eyes drifting disinterestedly over the options.

Meanwhile, Jungkook hopes to find something on the menu that will captivate Taehyung's attention. He watches intently as Taehyung's eyes light up at something, a faint upward curve touching his lips."You can order anything, Taehyung-ssi," Jungkook encourages, his voice warm and inviting.

After a brief deliberation, Taehyung makes his decision."I think I'll just have a strawberry milkshake," Taehyung states, maintaining his poker face as he closes the menu and sets it aside.

"Anything else?" Jungkook asks, silently wishing for Taehyung to opt for more, but Taehyung simply shakes his head.

"Very well then," Jungkook signals the waiter over, raising his hand gracefully.A waiter approaches their table promptly, ready to take their order.

"What would you like to have, sirs?" the waiter asks, perhaps anticipating an elaborate order from two affluent and attractive gentlemen.

"A strawberry milkshake," Jungkook replies with a reassuring smile directed at Taehyung. He notices Taehyung's slight scrunch of the nose at his choice of coffee, finding it endearing.

He doesn't like coffee,Jungkook notices, making a mental note.

Once the waiter leaves, Jungkook turns his attention fully to Taehyung, though truthfully, it had never really wavered.

Taehyung leans comfortably on the table, his fingers laced together."So, you mentioned there was something important you wanted to discuss with me?" Taehyung breaks the silence, his voice calm yet probing.

Jungkook nods, his fingers subtly fidgeting in his lap beneath the table, away from Taehyung's gaze. He isn't sure how Taehyung will react."Taehyung-ssi, I... I wanted us to meet and get to know each other a bit before, you know, the wedding," Jungkook explains tentatively, hoping to bridge the gap between them.

"We don't need to get to know each other," Taehyung states matter-of-factly, shrugging indifferently. "I thought there was something important, but if you called me for this only... then I'm sorry, Jungkook-ssi, I'm a busy person," Taehyung remarks, pushing his chair back slightly, signaling an end to the conversation.

"But—" Jungkook starts, his brow furrowing in confusion, but Taehyung cuts him off, taking a deep breath and fixing Jungkook with a piercing gaze. "Why?" he asks bluntly, his tone dropping dangerously low. "Why are you marrying me, Jeon? What are your and your father's true intentions?"

Jungkook swallows hard, caught off guard by Taehyung's directness. This isn't how he envisioned their first proper meeting.Attempting to defuse the tension, Jungkook tries to explain. "Taehyung-ssi, it was an agreement between you and my father. I swear I had nothing to do with it. I hold you in high regard," Jungkook insists earnestly, but Taehyung's expression remains skeptical.

Silverhead scoffs dryly. "Liar," he retorts, his smile devoid of humor. Swiftly pulling out his wallet, Taehyung tosses an amount onto the table, far more than the cost of a milkshake. Younger is left speechless, the sudden shift in atmosphere catching him off guard.

One moment they were conversing calmly, and now Taehyung is leaving in a huff?"Nice try, Jeon. But I won't let you succeed," Taehyung accuses, striding out of the restaurant without another word.

Brunette is left sitting there, bewildered and unsure of what just transpired. Does Taehyung truly despise him that much?

One thing though becomes clear to Jungkook in that moment: Taehyung is not the mastermind behind this arrangement. He, too, is being coerced, just like Jungkook himself.

"With the power bestowed upon me, I now pronounce you as Husband and Husband. You may kiss now."

Their last encounter hadn't exactly ended on good terms, leaving Taehyung uncertain about what to expect. He lifted his eyes from their entwined hands to meet Jungkook's gaze.

What surprised Taehyung was the softness in Jungkook's eyes, a silent plea for permission that caught him off guard. There were so many people watching, making it impossible for Taehyung to refuse, no matter how much he wanted to.

Taehyung had never kissed anyone before. It wasn't for lack of opportunity; many would have given anything for a kiss from Kim Taehyung. But for him, a kiss was something sacred, something to be cherished, and he had yet to find anyone worthy of his first kiss.He wanted it to be memorable, a moment he could hold onto forever. He wanted it to be with someone his heart truly desired, someone he loved deeply. But fate had other plans.

Now, his first kiss would be a mere display for the gathered guests, brief and public, far from the intimacy he craved. As Jungkook's arm wrapped gently around his waist, drawing him closer, Taehyung closed his eyes and nodded, resigning himself to what was to come.

He could feel the warmth of Jungkook's hands cupping his face, a gesture that conveyed care and gentleness. Despite his efforts to remain composed, a shaky breath escaped him as he braced for the inevitable.

Then, a soft peck landed at the corner of Taehyung's lips. It wasn't a full kiss on the lips, but the gentle touch still sent a surge of euphoria through him. Jungkook had been considerate, ensuring it appeared like a kiss without crossing any boundaries.

Opening his eyes, Taehyung met Jungkook's gaze once more. For the first time, there was a flicker of emotion on Taehyung's face as he mouthed a quiet 'thank you'.

"I won't ever kiss you without your consent," Jungkook whispered earnestly, his words hanging between them. Taehyung couldn't help but wonder if Jungkook would kiss him with the same tenderness if he truly desired it.
