Hello, the precious and the sweetest readers of LMLY...
I'm the Co-Author of this book for everyone that does not know me, I wrote Chapter 51 to Chapter 59 of LMLY, and it has been a journey of more than a year now.
Mother Author, as we call the original author of this book, we both are best friends. She has been really busy since she began her college last year, 2025, and she could not get used to writing LMLY like she used to. Due to all the heavy studies that she had to do, she couldn't spare time to write LMLY and hence, she lost habit of it. Her words, "No matter how much I try, I cannot get in the feel of LMLY." Writing was always a thing that she used to do because of her love for Taekook, not because she loved writing. Her busy schedule and personal reasons led to LMLY having delayed updates and losing readers.
Whereas, Me... I always loved writing; I always treated it as my passion and a dream to conquer some day. My love for TaeKook and writing was such a good combination for me to practice as a part of being myself.
From both me and mother author conversing on writing a new TK book, it led to us having a conversation of me writing LMLY with my own plot that I would think of. 1.5 months later, I uploaded the Chapter 51 of LMLY.
All the statistics, comments, reviews and interaction on wattpad made me realize that my version of LMLY is not like how LMLY used to be. I couldn't try to bring the characters upto how they were. My writing style was not as elegant and serene that my bestie's. And my own life being always occupied, the updates were as not as frequent as I planned them to be. And honestly, at some point, I didn't even have the motivation to write and update because I always felt like LMLY characters are not mine. Hence, I introduced the story of Hyun and Aerum and almost new story for YoonMin; something that would make me feel like I am actually a maker of this book not just a worker getting paid.
But most of you didn't like it, right?
I don't blame you all, it's your choice. And I don't question myself for the plot that I thought of, the character I modified and the story that still is in my mind for LMLY. The only assurance I needed was of my bestie's and she loves the plot for LMLY.
So, both your Mother Author and I have decided to upload a new book written solely by me with my style, modifications and ideas. So that I'm ruining LMLY for the readers that always held this book as a pillow to cuddle (including myself).
And the main idea was, that when any one of you is tuning into "Let Me Have Us," you know you are stepping into something different.
(Though I would still keep trying to bring the essence of LMLY back through my writing. I love this challenge as a writer :D)
And here you all are presented with "Let Me Have Us," written by me, call me "co-author" only. I will not like you all calling me author instead of co-author, please. Take this as a wish. And that new book is not just by me, the invisible and the support of your mother author (and my bestie) is there too, along with that unwavering trust in me.
