Author's POV:
"...then the rabbit and the tiger never fought again and started living happily ever after." Tae finished their usual bedtime story (made up by him on the spot) with a smile "Did you like the story Hanie?" He asked but all he got were soft snores in reply.
He glanced down to find Hani cuddling close to him, sleeping with no care of the world, "Sweet dreams baby", Tae dropped a gentle goodnight kiss to his forehead before slowly pulling the blanket up till his neck, covering him properly.
After making sure Haneul was tucked under the fluffy duvet and placing pillows on either sides, Tae slowly detached his body from Hanie's, leaving the bed to get freshen up and probably do his pending office work.
Taehyung is determined to make his company stand on it's feet again like it used to when his father was the CEO. So that after this year ends and the shares from Jeon's are withdrawn, his company is already strong enough to not get affected by the loss.
In fact he will be relieved to get it free from the hold Mr. Jeon is having on it through his puppet Bogum.
And for that he has to work almost as twice as he was doing before.
Coming back from a long refreshing shower in his nightwear, he thought he would find Jungkook sleeping beside Hani, but much to his dismay, Kook was nowhere to be found in the room.
Tae retrieved his phone from side table. The time on top of which read 10:36 PM
Where is Kook???
was the first question to pop in his mind after witnessing empty bed with only Haneul sleeping in middle, his little limbs sprawled like a starfish.
After the paint incident, Tae has been continously ignoring Kook showing how angry he was after the stunt Jungkook pulled in the Kitchen.
Poor Jungkook has been trailing behind Tae, carrying a sad pout and pleading eyes, following him everywhere but Tae didn't spare him one look and purposely made himself busy with Hanie.
Guess what? He's the same Tae who is now worried for his husband whereabouts.
First place he checked for Jungkook's presence was Kitchen of course. Because Jungkook is often found cooking at ungodly hours of the day but instead of his husband, Tae found something else there.
A takeout on the counter with a familiar bakery's tag and a piece of paper sticking to it.
What caught his attention was actually his name on that paper he saw and the writing which was undeniably Jungkook's.
Taking the packet in his hands he read the words on the chit written in black ink.
For Tae, I am sorry for ruining your shirt forgive me please? *puppy eyes* :(
A soft smile tugged at the corner of his lips at Kook's adorable efforts of making up for his mischief.
By this time, he had already guessed from the smell, what was going to be inside that packet.
He opened it and yes he was not wrong.
There they were. His all time favorite. Donuts.
He took the chocolate flavoured one in his mouth right away. Chewing on it satisfyingly.
