Sarah is lying in bed. An empty bed. Her side of the room is a mess and her husband's side is tidy. The wardrobe has been cleared out and everything that was in it before is now either on the floor or taken by her husband. The plan has worked, but Sarah is not so sure she should be happy. She's always been happy with her husband, but it still doesn't feel perfect. But they are done. They are not officially divorced, but they are no longer living together. The only thing she knows for sure now is that she feels bad. As if her heart had been ripped out of her chest. With the feeling of butterflies still in her stomach from Lyanna. But she doesn't want to feel in love. She's just divorced her ex-husband. She can't feel good about herself right now. So she decided to just lie on her bed for as long as she could, until she thought she'd feel better. But her peace was soon shattered.
"Mum, there's someone at the door!" her daughter shouted. "Can you open the door? I'm busy," said Sarah. "You're not busy, but I'll open it for you just this once," her daughter said. "Thank you, you are amazing. I love you, Maggie," Sarah said. "I love you too," Maggie said.Annoyed, she goes to the door. Looking through the window of the door, she immediately thinks of her mother. Because the woman on the other side of the door is a very good friend of hers. So her daughter thinks Sarah should open the door, but because Sarah feels so bad, she does it just this once.
"Hey Lyanna, what are you doing here?" asks Sarah's daughter. "I just wanted to check on Sarah. I had a feeling the last time I spoke to her she was feeling really bad. So I wanted to see if she's any better," Lyanna said. "Oh, sure. You can sit on the couch and have a drink if you want. You know where it is. I'll get my mum for you," Sarah's daughter said. "Thanks Maggie. You're the best," Lyanna said.
Maggie lets Lyanna in. Lyanna sets down her things in the hallway and walks into the kitchen to grab a drink. Maggie, in the meantime, goes to try to get her mother out of her room. And she immediately thought it would be an impossible job. But she had to try. She knocked on the door, and heard that she could come in.
"Hey mom, there's someone for you in the living room. Can you go see her for a minute?", Maggie asked. "Do you have to? I actually wanted to lie down for a while," Sarah said. "No you can't stay down. Get out of your bed. Lyanna is here. She really wants to talk to you," Maggie said. "Okay. Tell her I need to get ready some more. Be there in five minutes," Sarah said. "Thanks mom," Maggie said.
Maggie tells Lyanna that her mother will be along shortly and then goes upstairs. Lyanna sits quietly on the couch, drinking a cup of tea. And Sarah is stressed about everything. She doesn't know what to wear, how to do her hair and all sorts of other things. But five minutes later, Sarah comes into the living room.
"Here I am. And I feel worse than ever," Sarah said. "How bad for you. Do you want to talk about it?" asks Lyanna. "No. But why are you here? I heard from Maggie that you wanted to talk to me," Sarah said. "Yes, I wanted to see how you were doing. Things didn't go as planned on Thursday anyway. Even though the outcome was what we wanted," Lyanna said. "Yes, he is gone. He's gone for good. I'm allowed to feel bad anyway. I understand that you just want to move on, but I need to process this first," Sarah said. "I understand that you can't just let it go, but I'm here for you. And I will continue to be there for you," Lyanna said. "Just give me some space to get my shit together first. I think it's better if I do it alone," Sarah said. "Oh, okay. I'll go then. Bye Sarah, I'll talk to you later," Lyanna said. "Lyanna, I didn't mean anything by it. But I need to work this out for myself," Sarah said. "I understand. We'll talk some other time," Lyanna said.
As Lyanna left, Sarah heard someone come downstairs again. It was Maggie. She asked Sarah what happened, but Sarah couldn't tell the story because she just burst into tears. Maggie gave her a hug and they sat together on the couch for a while longer. Her mother was having a very hard time and Maggie was happy to help her. However, she doesn't think she can. But she will do her best to help her as much as she can. When Lyanna got into Daisy's car, she too began to cry. This was not what she had hoped for.
"Just go home," Lyanna said. "Didn't it go well? What happened?" asked Daisy. "She wants to be alone for a while. I understand, she just got divorced, but still. I've waited for her for so long," Lyanna said. "Relax, I'll drive you home and you can enjoy your weekend," Daisy says. "You're right. I am going home," Lyanna said.
