It is Wednesday morning. Sarah and Lyanna stopped talking about Hailey and Ellie last night. They both actually want to talk about it, but they both feel they shouldn't pay attention. But Lyanna wants to be done with it. Only she is so unsure of what to do. Even though she knows what she should do. Before her class starts, she stops by Leah's to talk to her about the situation with Ellie and Hailey. She just wants to tell her all about what happend.
"Leah, do you have a moment?" asks Lyanna. "Sure. My class starts in ten minutes so make it quick," Leah says. "I want to tell you something that I think you might want to know," Lyanna said. "You make it very exciting. What's going on? What is the matter? Is there a problem?", Leah asks.
Leah closes the door, thinking this might be a serious conversation. After all, Lyanna doesn't talk to her often, only when it's very urgent. And she suspected it wasn't just anything from the way Lyanna told her about it.
"What is it Lyanna? Did something happen?" asks Leah. "Did you hear the gossip about me yesterday?" asks Lyanna. "The gossip about you and Sarah kissing. Yes, I heard that from several people," Leah says. "Well, it's like this. It's from Ellie and Hailey, your mentor students," Lyanna said. "No are you kidding me," Leah said. "I'm super serious and I don't like it," Lyanna said. "I understand that, Lyanna. But is the gossip true?" asks Leah. "Well, look what Sarah got in her mailbox," Lyanna says.
Lyanna hands Leah the note Sarah received. Leah is shocked. She never expected Ellie and Hailey to do this. She certainly looks at the two ladies differently now. She really didn't expect this. At first she doesn't know what to say. She has known the two ladies for a year now, but she did not think they could do this.
"That can't be right. I have their class the first two periods, so I'll go talk to them then," Leah said. "Thanks Leah. Keep me posted," Lyanna said. "Tuulike. But I feel really bad that they're doing this. You know you can always come to me," Leah said. "You're a sweetheart. Thank you for everything. I'll leave you alone now, I have to teach too," Lyanna said. " See you around," Leah said. "Bye," Lyanna said.
Lyanna goes to her class, feeling a lot better than she did before. She is so glad she told Leah. Everything might get back to normal. Sarah is sitting in her classroom getting ready for class. And as she works quietly, she suddenly feels her phone vibrate. She is being texted. She looks down at her phone to see who it is. It's Leah. Strange. She looks at what she's sending.
"Hey Sarah, long time no see. I heard something about you yesterday when I was talking to a student. And I heard from someone else that Ellie and Hailey had something to do with the gossip. I'll talk to the girls today. They won't be so annoying anymore. Don't worry," Leah writes.
When Sarah reads this, she immediately thinks Lyanna said something. "Damn Lyanna," Sarah thinks. "Why the hell did she do this? We could fix this together." Sarah was irritated. Lyanna did something that affected her too, but she didn't discuss it with her. She was really very angry. She really felt betrayed. And she doesn't expect that from her girlfriend. In any other situation she wouldn't mind very much, but in this case it could completely change her reputation. She might lose all the respect of her class. Sarah closed her laptop and took out her phone and keys. She locks the classroom behind her and walks to Lyanna's classroom. No students are sitting there yet, so she rushes over to her.
"What the hell Lyanna. Did you go to Leah behind my back? We were going to talk about this anyway. You can't just make a decision without me. You're my girlfriend, but don't make decisions for me," Sarah said angrily. "I thought you wouldn't mind. The situation with Ellie and Hailey shouldn't be a thing. We are their teachers, they should respect us. And they just made fun of us. I'm not going to let that happen, Sarah. I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but I'm happy with what I've done. Things will get better," Lyanna said. "I don't want to talk for a while. Come see me tomorrow after school and we'll talk about it further," Sarah said. "Understood, I'll talk to you tomorrow," Lyanna said. "Bye Lyanna," Sarah said.
Sarah walks back to her classroom. And she was still so angry. She just didn't know why Lyanna would do this. She tries to think of an explanation, but she doesn't have one. Why shouldn't she just ask her? It makes sense. But when she looks at her phone screen, she sees a picture of Lyanna and her. That calms her. She knows that Lyanna is a good person, but sometimes she does things that Sarah would not be so quick to do. And Lyanna still does impulsive things sometimes. When Sarah arrives at the classroom, there are already a couple of students waiting at the door. She opens the door, goes to her desk, and starts the lesson.
