Lyanna and Avery went to see their boss and Lyanna got the rest of the day off. When he heard the story, he was shocked that it happened on school grounds. Even in a school classroom. Avery still had an hour before she had to teach again, so she stayed with Lyanna for a while. Actually, Lyanna didn't really know what to do. She didn't want to go to Sarah right now because she knew she would have to explain everything and she wasn't ready for that.
"Why were Ellie and Hailey helping me?" asked Lyanna. "I don't know. But they asked to remain anonymous. But I knew you wanted to know who helped you," Avery said. "They took pictures of Sarah and me. And they took them to Sarah's house. Maggie found them. And Sarah was really stressed out about those two girls. So was I. They've been acting like this for a couple of weeks, but then all of a sudden they do this. I don't get it," Lyanna said. "Lyanna, I'm going to go. I'll be back in a minute," Avery said. "But make it fast," Lyanna said. "Of course I will," Avery said.
As Avery is about to leave, she sees Daisy approaching. Daisy looks very serious, so Lyanna guesses that she has heard about the incident. Daisy sits in the chair next to Lyanna. And she remains silent. She looks at her, but says nothing for a while. "Whether you know it or not, sometimes," Lyanna says. "True. But I want to hear it from you. The gossip is never true. I want to know what you think happened and the address of that man," Daisy said. "I hate that man so much. I said I didn't want him," Lyanna said crying. "Come here," Daisy said.
Daisy gives Lyanna a big hug. Lyanna gets so emotional just thinking about it.
"It's not your fault. That creepy guy needs to be punished. What he did can't be right," Daisy says. "It's my fault. I should have sent him away," Lyanna said. "Then he would have tried to hit Lyanna anyway. I'm with you, you can tell me the story. And if you're not ready, I'll wait," Daisy said.
Lyanna told Daisy the whole story. But with crying breaks in between. Avery had also come back to the ladies and had brought two other ladies with her. And these ladies all knew her very well.
"Hello Lyanna," Ellie and Hailey said. "What are you doing here? Don't you have class?" asks Daisy. "We got pulled out of class by Avery," Ellie says. "And you guys are supposed to talk to us about what happened before and during the break" Avery said. "Come sit and talk," Lyanna said. "What should we say?" said Ellie. "Tell us what happened between five minutes before recess and the end of recess," Daisy said. "Five minutes before recess, we were just sitting in class. We were allowed to leave a little early and we saw a man walking back and forth all the time. Pacing back and forth very nervously. He was mumbling and talking about Lyanna and Sarah. And when we were about to leave, he looked at us very strangely. Very scary. Like he was possessed by something," Hailey said. "When we turned around, he was still staring at us. And when we were about to go to the cafeteria, we saw Avery walking," Ellie said. "We thought it would be a good idea to tell her about the scary guy. So we described the man and all of a sudden she was so scared," Hailey said. "And then I ran over to you because I immediately realized it was Thomas," Avery said. "I know we don't have a great relationship, but I'm still very grateful to you for doing this," Lyanna said. "You should be glad we did, because we were going to leave it at first. Because you ratted us out to Leah," Hailey said. "I know, a shitty thing to do. But I didn't want our connection to go to hell. So I tried to help, but it didn't work," Lyanna said. "We're glad we helped you in the end. But we have to go now," Ellie said. "Yeah, sure, go ahead," Avery said.
Ellie and Hailey left. The rest stayed. They all thought it was such a strange story. How could all this have happened in such a short time? How could they not have prevented it? The three of them talked for a while. Of course, their conversation was interrupted again. This always happened to them. They heard that it was someone who was very angry. Daisy glanced over to see who it was and looked at Lyanna fearfully. And then she knew who it was. And she was so scared. She didn't know what to expect. And then suddenly she heard someone say something very angry.
"Lyanna Oostra? Why was I just called by Ellie and Hailey about a sexual assault? You need to explain some things to me. What happened?", Sarah asked.
