It's the next day. Leah talked to Ellie and Hailey and the girls made it clear that they felt really bad about ratting them out. They went to see Sarah and Lyanna at the end of the day to make it clear that they were really going to screw them over. But it is now Friday, and Lyanna has to work for a while before she has the talk with Sarah. The first three hours go very well, but just before the break someone interrupts the class.
"Hey Lyanna, you got a minute?" a man asks. "Not now, I am teaching. But class ends in five minutes, so if you can wait a minute," Lyanna says. "I'll wait," the man says.
Lyanna thinks she recognizes this man, but she's not sure. She has a feeling that she has seen him before, but she doesn't know where. Moments later, Lyanna closes the class and the students are allowed to leave. When all the students are out of the classroom, the man comes back in. She looks at him; she knows she knows him, but she doesn't know how.
"Do you remember me?" the man asks. "I know, but I forgot," Lyanna said. "It doesn't matter. We don't know each other that well. But you know my ex-wife very well. You are colleagues and very good friends," he said. "I'm friends with a lot of colleagues, but who is divorced?" asks Lyanna.
And then she realizes. It's the ex-husband of Sarah, her friend. The man who liked her, too. "Thomas," Lyanna says. "Indeed," Thomas says. "What are you doing here. Sarah's not working today," Lyanna said. "That's why I'm here today. I want to talk to you, not her," Thomas says. "I don't want to talk to you," Lyanna said. "Then let me talk. You don't have to say anything," Thomas said. "If you want to say that you still love me and want to be with me, then you already know my answer," Lyanna said. "That's what I wanted to talk about, but I want to tell you. I really like you, Lyanna, and I want to be with you. Will you go out with me tonight?" asked Thomas. "Sorry, I am busy tonight and every other night. Thomas, it is better that you leave," Lyanna said. "Lyanna, don't do this now. I know you love me. We have a connection and you feel it too," Thomas said. "No Thomas, you think wrong. The only reason we know each other is because of Sarah and I love Sarah. And you made her feel really bad. So no, I don't want to be with you or date you because you disgust me," Lyanna said. "Oh, you are going to play hard to get. I like that," Thomas said. "Disgusting Thomas. Please go away," Lyanna said.
Lyanna starts to leave the classroom, but Thomas stops her.
"Are you just going to leave? I was just starting to have fun," Thomas says. "Let go of me, you son of a bitch," Lyanna says angrily. "Hush, you'll be safe with me," Thomas says.
Lyanna felt far from safe with Thomas. She tried to push him away, but to no avail. Thomas holds Lyanna's hips and neck.
"I know you like it," Thomas says.
Lyanna was petrified with fear. She couldn't say anything. She couldn't stop him. She wanted to stop him so badly, but she couldn't. She didn't want to. She had told him so clearly, hadn't she? She had told him so many times.
"Thomas, get your damn hands off her!," Avery shouts. "She likes it. She loves me," said Thomas. "No Thomas, she loves Sarah. She's a lesbian," said Avery. "No, she can't be. When she was at our house, she flirted with me all the time," Thomas said. "No, she was flirting with Sarah," Avery said.
Thomas slowly lets go. He turns to Avery. And looks at her.
"I have to go," Thomas says. "You know how to find the way out," Avery says. "Bye," Thomas says.
Avery looks at Lyanna after Thomas leaves. She sees that Lyanna is still frozen. She hugs her and Lyanna begins to cry.
"Thank you, Avery. I was so afraid he was going to hurt me," Lyanna says. "You're safe, I'm here," Avery said. "How did you know I needed help?" asks Lyanna. "I saw Thomas' car outside the school, and you're usually in the teachers' lounge pretty quick. And a student of yours said a scary man came into your classroom," Avery said. "You really saved me, Avery. I don't know how to thank you," Lyanna said. "You don't have to. You've done so much for me, I should give something back," Avery said. "Thank you again. I'm so glad Thomas is gone," Lyanna said. "We'll go to the boss now and tell him you need the rest of the day off," Avery said. "No, that's not necessary," Lyanna said. "Yes, it is necessary. Come with me," Avery said. "Who told you? Which students?", Lyanna asks. "Ellie and Hailey," Avery said.
