Maude's POV

Felix and I stood side by side as we hiked along the jagged mountain.

As we walked, our arms occasionally dangled against each other. We spoke about the music we liked and the concerts we had attended.

Jack was far ahead of us and seemed to have forgotten he had came with us. He was preoccupied with taking pictures and chasing squirrels.

As Felix spoke, I looked up at him and admired his face. Being so close to him and speaking to him filled me with anxiety, but there was nowhere else I would rather be.

His black coloured eyes glowed with passion as he discussed an album he had grown up listening to. He brushed his unruly black hair out of his eyes while he spoke.

He was unlike anyone I had ever met.
