Chapter 45

"I'll carry him in, you go get Williamson and the boys." Ben instructed me. At that moment I was blank, I didn't know what I should do. He was all bloody and there were bruises all over him, but I was happy at the same time, happy to see him alive and back to London.

"I was right!" Williamson said while Ben and the boys tried to treat all the wounds Edmund had.

"Can you help them please instead of bragging how you were right?"

"Well Scarlet I'm a detective, agent, spy and not a doctor. You can't expect me to know any of these."

"I'm a high school dropout, Cecil is a high school student and Benedict Cumberbatch is an actor, does any of us look like we know what we were doing?" Chris being Chris again, that Chris before was just too weird.

"Please..... know what you're doing." Edmund said. He barely got any energy left.

"Scarlet if you don't mind go get a glass of water for Edmund." Ben instructed.

"Have a good rest Edmund, I'll be asking a lot of questions tomorrow." From the kitchen, I could hear why Williamson said and also I could hear his footsteps went up the stairs.

"Well now we know what we will be doing tomorrow." I said while I handed the glass of water to Edmund.

"It's actually already "tomorrow", it's almost 7 in the morning." Ben said as he finished up Edmund's wound. I could feel my heart thumping hard when they allowed me to walk over to look at Edmund. My heart said it all, he looked awful. Jade, I thought. Where was she, one was back the other wasnt.

I pulled Cecil to aside and asked:"Have you noticed anything?"

"What?" he held my hand and I could felt even he was nervous. His hand was all sweaty and cold.

"Jade." her name was like a sudden realization for Cecil, his eyes opened up wide and he turned and looked at me with a face that said "Shit".

"Ask him after he wakes up?" I nodded to confirm. We then went back to our rooms to continue sleeping. Cecil came with me to my room. I couldn't sleep. No matter how hard I tried to shut my eyes, I saw a picture of Jade waiting to be saved. I turned over to check on Cecil, he was fast asleep. I then went out and look for Ben, he was also in his room fast asleep. Figured that Chris would definitely be asleep so the only person that I could possibly talk to and most probably won't sleep was Williamson.

"You know we still need to get Jade." I leaned on to the door frame.

"I do know, but now, I need more information from Edmund. Whatever that I've got here isn't enough."

'What do you have for now?"

"I've now got that Linda is currently in London. Most probably she figured we won't be looking for her in London but halfway when she came back, she must had figured out that is why she just admitted that she is here, to make things less complicated by sending Edmund back. By sending Edmund back it means that most probably she won't be doing anything bad to Jade because those two are not her aim..."

"But I am?" I said before he could finish.

"Yes."

"You two should be sleeping." Ben appeared in the room out of nowhere when we were in our deep thoughts.

"I couldn't sleep."

"Well I sure saw Cecil sleeping soundly in your room, shouldn't he be with his brother?" so that's the reason.

"He was just too tired to climb all the way up here so he just went to my room plus, we were too tired to do anything anyways."

"Sure, now go back to sleep. You really need sleep, Williamson and I will help with Edmund, you kids need sleep." Ben said. I gave him a hug even though I was not really of what he thought but still....

"Hey baby girl..." I went into the room, probably had open the door to loudly because Cecil woke up and turned around to see what was going on.

"Hey..."

"Where had you been to?" he gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"Williamson's room."

"Oh... you know, I was just thinking about school, just imagine how much things we were missing out from. All your competitions and my studies..."

"I can't think about school now." I turned to the other side, closed my eyes

and tried to sleep. I couldn't bear the thought of school, I imagined how many people were saying I was the devil, who caused the kidnapped of her best friend. Cecil must had known that something was wrong so he just stood up from bed, came beside me on the other side and whispered:"It's not your fault." then he went out.

Linda POV~

"I still don't get it Linda, why throw Edmund back?" Lilz asked while she was driving, I had instructed her to drive out of London, anywhere out of London.

"Don't you see it Lilz? If I get Edmund back they will think I'm in town so they will keep searching for me in town. Those fools don't know what they are doing. They planned to fool me but looks like I fool them."

"You're an evil girl."

"Hey I killed my own mother and father? Which part of me is still innocent?"

"Well, so what are you going to do with Jade?"

"She will be my weapon of course, to threaten Scarlet."

"Scarlet has his boyfriend to protect her, and also Benedict Cumberbatch, you think you can go through them?"

"They are not the problem and plus, I doubt that I'll have to go through them to get to Scarlet. Plus, you know how she likes to go her own way without listening to others advices, so I'll use this chance to get her."

Cecil POV~

I went downstairs seeing Ben treating Edmund who still looked awful.

"Good morning Ben." I said politely.

"So you slept with my girl?" Ben asked, I was stunned. I meant, I did not do anything.

"Erm, I just feel asleep there.... I mean I didn't mean too... I didn't do anything to her I swear." I said nervously, I could felt my face turned red. Then I laughter was heard, Williamson's laughter, I wondered what was going on.

"Oh both you and Scarlet are so cute..." Williamson said. Then even Ben smiled.

"I just wanted to say thank you, she really needs someone beside her now so make sure you are beside her twenty-four seven. Now, go check on her, sit beside her, I doubt that she feel asleep." I didn't know what to say, just nodded.

Scarlet POV~

I could hear clearly what they were saying, half of me felt it was funny because I thought Cecil must had been really nervous. The other half felt relieved by how Ben wasn't angry.

"Scarlet?" Cecil came in.

"I heard the conversation from downstairs." He flushed then before I could say anything else, he changed the topic:"Why aren't you asleep?"

"Can't sleep."

"Jade!!!" it was obvious that was Edmund. Cecil and I exchanged glances then both decided to run downstairs to check out what happened. Even Chris heard the scream and ran down at the same time as us.

"Chris grabbed the rope, from the kitchen!" Ben instructed while him and Williamson were trying to get Edmund to sit on the chair.

"I'm so sorry about this Scarlet, I have no choice but to tie him down on the chair..." Williamson said while he did as he said.

"Jade... Jade..." Edmund said, his face all sweaty, and he looked like he was out of his mind.
