Chapter 30

I stopped when he stopped me.

"Then tell me what's in it." I said sternly.

"It's obviously a bomb." both Williamson and Cecil said together. It did make sense that it was a bomb but what didn't make sense was that I knew Williamson would probably know what's in it but Cecil... I didn't really expect him to know.

"Correct." Ben said.

"Now you understand why I can't tell you. Linda's controlling the bomb." Ben was angry. I could feel it.

"Linda obviously came over and told you what's in it. Didn't she?" Cecil said.

"Yes she did."

"It's a fake bomb people." Williamson said after examine the parcel. Without even asking, he opened it up and he was correct.

"Fake?" I said.

"I knew it!" Ben started jumping around like a little kid who just won a bet.

"Then why did you follow what Lind told you to do?" I asked.

"Always play safe Scarlet." Williamson said.

"Now if you would excuse me I need to go to the police station to report about this. I will need Ben to follow me, what about the two of you?" Williamson asked.

"I'll stay here."

"Same."

"You kids stay home and do not go out okay? And Scarlet please if anything happens call me immediately." Ben said.

"Yes Ben!" Then he went out.

Cecil and I didn't really do much after that. Just sat by the swimming pool and talked about some stuff. It wasn't long until they came back.

We went for dinner after that in some Italian restaurant near our house. Then we sent Cecil back home. On the way to his house, we talked about the parcel.

"The officers suspect that Lind just want some power and since she wasn't helping Linda anymore she doesn't have much ideas on how to get it." Ben explained.

"Can they track Lind?" Cecil asked.

"Yes and they are now on the way to get her." Williamson answered. For me, Lind wasn't much of a big problem. Problem was Linda, Lilz and Chris.

"Linda, Lilz and Chris? What about them?"

"We received no news."

Cecil's mother came and fetch him as soon as we arrived.

"Oh my poor baby! You lost a finger!" His mom cried out and hugged him.

"It's okay, I still got 9 more." He said. We went back home right after that because I had school tomorrow. Thrusday tomorrow, meant I had training.

"Hey." Ben came into my room. I was about to go to sleep by then.

"Anything you need?"

"Not really, just wondering if you're okay."

"Yes I'm fine Ben." And I gave him a hug. After hugging so many people, hugging Benedict Cumberbatch was the best. His hug was warmer, you could feel more love from it.

"Will you be back for dinner tomorrow?" I asked before I went out.

"Yes I will my dear."

The next day morning, I wore a white top tucked into my black skater skirt and went down for breakfast. It was nice having my life going in as usual again, well at least for now I suppost.
