Chapter 38

After that day, I made sure I be careful with every decision I made, even whether or not to use the restroom. Friday was the big match where Cecil had football so of course I was there to watch him.

Before the match I gave him a kiss as an encouragement and immediately the whole crowd wild. Apparently someone caught us kissing and our kiss was projected on to the big screen. Soon after the game started, Jade came and sat beside me.

"Saw your kiss, must been a nice one." She said while her eyes were locked on to the field.

"Oh shut up, where's Edmund?" I looked around and I couldn't see him.

"He said he was going to the restroom. He'll meet us here." I wasn't sure whether Jade was aware about it but the match had already started for about 20 minutes but there was still no sign of Edmund showing up.

"Jade, maybe we should go look for Edmund, it's been long." I said. Jade was kind of disappointed that she had to leave the field and not be able to watch part of the match but the nodded and followed me anyways.

"Wait, I'll just text him." Jade said. I didn't really like the fact that we should just text him because he could had texted us, but he hasn't so something must been wrong.

"Has he replied?" Was the question that I asked for about every few minutes. Soon Jade herself started being worried about Edmund.

"I should go and look for him." She said and stood up.

"I'll follow you." I was about to stand up but then Jade pushed me down.

"You should stay, the first half of the game is about to finish, if Cecil don't see you here, he'll be disappointed." She said and ran off. I waited there with my heart beating fast, one because the game was really going on crazy, two because my adviser and friend and buddy, Edmund was gone and three, I had been calling Jade for the past few minutes but she just didn't pick up her phone

As soon as the first half of the game was done, Cecil ran straight up to me hoping I'll say something nice but no.

"Edmund's gone and Jade won't pick up her phone. I think something's happening Cecil, something is about to happen." I said to him and grabbed his hand tight. He wasn't sure what to say, he just finished the first half of his game and that was what he got from this girl friend. The silence between us broke off immediately when my phone rang. It was Williamson.

"Scarlet, some officers saw Linda and Lilz sneaking into your school, they are currently tracking them down but it seems to be harder than what they thought. Now I need you, Cecil, Jade and Williamson to get out of school right now, I already sent a message to your principle telling him the reason. As for Cecil, he'll need to explain to his couch right now. I'll be waiting for you in the parking lot."

"Williamson what are you saying, Jade and Edmund just gone missing!" I yelled at him which drew some attention.

"If that's the case then come on out with Cecil right now or something will happen to you!" He hung up. I told Cecil what Williamson said, he didn't look quite happy that he had to explain to his couch but he done it anyways. His team was kind of upset with him but he just ignored them anyways.

We ran to the parking lot immediately and jumped into Williamson's car.

"I'm sending you guys to the safe house in my investigation centre. No one besides the officers know about that place so I guess it's safe there but before that I'll need to fetch Ben and Chris, they are all at home now."

"What about Jade and Edmund?" I asked furiously. Williamsom didn't answer immediately, in fact he tried to change the topic but I asked him the same question again.
