Chapter 6

"Yes?" I tried to act casual. Cecil was beside me. Even he looked shock.

"Bitch you know why we're here!" 'mom' said.

"Mam can you please calm down. Yelling won't help a lot." a policeman said. He then turned to me and said:"Are you Scarlet Hawk?"

"Yes."

"May I ask who is this beside you?" he looked to Cecil.

"He is my friend. Cecil Krin."

"Now can I know where is Benedict Cumberbatch?" as soon as the policemen finnish speaking, dad came down and screamed:"Scarlet, who's that at the front door?"

"The policemen and my foster parents dad! Now can you please come here?"

"Dad?! Oh My Gosh did I just hear what I just hear?! I can't believe you young lady found a new dad!!" 'dad' said.

"So these are your foster parents?" dad whispered to me.

"Yea."

"Well they do not look too good."

"Sir may I ask where did you get this girl from?" the policemen asked dad.

"Let's start from a beautiful Friday afternoon. I decided to go out for a walk on the streets. Then I heard screaming and beating so I went and checked what was happening. Then there was, two young parents beating up a poor child. No one bothered helping her so I went there, picked her up and sended her to my house. I helped her did her wound and asked her what happened, how it happened.. Then started asking her for her age. I then realized that she had no where to go and I can't just leave her in some place so I decided to adopt her."

"Sir it's not adopting."

"But it's not kidnapping isn't it?" this sentence made the policemen stopped talking. I pointed out a thumbs up to dad.

"But still you cannot just take other people's child!" 'mom' said.

"Well she is not your kid anyways adn even if she is, it is as if she's not cause true parents do not beat up their kid in the middle of the streets!"

"It's nice enough we adopt her, give her a place to live and feed her. She should not ask for more." 'dad' said.

"Sir, may I correct Mr Hawk that I really appreciate what they did for me but I am not their toy. I can't do their work for them and they can't just beat me up like that!" I said with my tears dropping down. That was when my body automatically turned to hug Cecil. It was relly embarresing, suddenly hugging a friend like that. At least he hugged back.

"You two are under arrest."A female police suddenly came out of nowhere and handcuffed my foster parents.

"Mam!" the policemen all said together. Then all the sudden, my headmaster came out.

"My wife, the chief." my headmaster said.

"My husband told me evrything about you two. Guess you two were not any close to being nice." the chief said.

"Mam I don't think..."

"Do you know who you're talking about?" the chief said before the policeman could finnish his sentence.

"These two used to be criminals. Smoking in school, taking drugs, even bullying. Makes me sick. Send them to the judge!" both of them were pulled to the police car.

"Sorry about that 14 years of pain Scarlet. You will be free from now on." the chief said.

"What do you mean they were criminals??" Cecil asked.
