"Congrats, attorney! napanalo mo nanaman ang isang case."
As always I did, when she always said that to me, I give her a small smile.
"Next case?" I ask my secretary.
"Uhm..." She hum and check her tablet. "Uwi na po tayong Pilipinas," And she smile.
I chuckle. This girl, bakit ko nga ba sya naging secretary? I don't know either, Papa said though.
"Okay, then. But, I need to see Eijaz first." I said to Shaina then she nod and smile again.
We're in Thailand for almost three months, because I have a client here. As my client case is finished, we can go back to Philippines, finally.
"Eijaz, baby!"
"Mimi!" The three years old boy run to me and give me a hug.
I carry him and hug him tight. "I miss you,"
"Eijaz, miss Mimi also." He said and pout. I laugh and pinch his little nose.
"Where is your Papa?" I ask.
He pointed the backyard. I put him down and let Shaina to look at him.
I knock the backyard glass door. The man who's in phone look at me.
"Busy?" I mouthed.
He approach me and kiss my cheek. "I'm just going to finish this." He whisper and step back. I waited.
"Hoy, Dustin! Utang na loob, kausapin mo nga ng maayos ang mga babae mo, ako ang ginugulo eh!" The woman screaming from inside the house.
"Ay hehehe, andito ka pala attorney. Joke lang yun." She then smile at me. The creepy one.
I stare at her a disgusting look.
"Si attorney naman! parang timang,"
"Oh, come on Tonet! What are you doing here?" I ask and roll my eyes.
"Alam kung andito ka, kaya andito ako. Uuwi na kayong Pilipinas?" Tonet ask.
"Sinong uuwi ng Pilipinas?" Dustin ask and put his one arm in my shoulder.
"Ugh... si Rain. Ay iste kayo!" Tonet answer.
Dustin stare at me meaningfully, asking perhaps.
"Yes?" Oh Jesus, Rain why are you asking!?
"Oh, exit muna ako. Punta muna ako kay baby Eijaz, bala kayo dyan!" Tonet said and run.
"Uwi ka?" Dustin finally ask.
I let a deep breath, "My client case is done,"
"Then?"
"Then? ang sabi ko kila Mama at Papa, pagkatapos ng kasong hinahawakan ko, uuwit uuwi ako." I explain.
"Tatlong buwan palang tayo dito sa Thailand, Rain."
"Oh, ngayon?" Tanong kung nagugulohan.
"Hindi ba dapat yang kasong yan, umaabot sa five to six months, what happened?" He said.
"Huh? I already finished it. Beside your business here is already done also, last month pa. Ano pa ang pinuputok ng butchi mo at parang ayaw mo pa umuwi ng Pilipinas?" I frustrated said.
"Ang bilis mo naman atang tinapos yung kaso, it's like your in rush." Dustin chuckled without humor.
"What do you mean?" Naguguluhang tanong ko.
"Just tell me that your going back to Philippines because you heard the news, that 'he' is back." He emphasize the word 'he'.
"What?" I asked frustrated.
