I gave Bex my cell phone number and my adress in a sticky note and left to go home for the night. I was tired and ready to go to bed until my phone rang. I instantly checked on who it was and saw Rachel's name and rolled my eyes.
"Hello?" I mumbled.
"Just to let you know, I am hosting a dinner party this Friday with some people to talk about your new book... you have one in the works, right?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah, I have one in the works." I lied. I told you I did earlier. Sure that was a lie but you don't have to know that. I thought to myself.
"Good and make sure to bring a date or a few guests with you. It's going to be somewhat of a big party." Rachel responded sounding pleased.
"Of course, I'll bring someone." I assured her.
"Goodie then," I heard Rachel's smile. "Do not make me look like a fool, am I clear?"
"Clear as day." I sighed and rolled my eyes. I was happy she could not see that.
"Very well then, the party starts at 5 so do not be late," Rachel sighed in the phone. "Well...it is late, and my dinner is ready. Sleep well, Sabrina. Goodnight." Rachel said.
"Goodnight." I said and hung up the phone a little bit shocked she didn't hang up on me this time. I was used to her doing that by now. She must be in a really good mood.
I was on my desk writing as fast as I could as if my life depended on it as Rachel was standing over me.
"You need to write! Write a book!" Rachel screams in my ear. "Write! Write! Write!"
"I am!" I shouted back and continued to type faster and faster. I kept writing until I thought what I had was good enough and Rachel laughed at me.
"You call yourself a writer?" Rachel mocked. "You are wasting my time."
My eyes flew open and I woke up and looked out the window seeing that it was still dark and I checked my alarm clock. It was 3:30 in the morning and I groaned as I laid my head back on my pillow. That was a weird nightmare. I thought to myself.
I heard a small cracking noise only a door could make and I jolted up and got up on my feet and slowly crept to my closet and opened the door and saw nothing or no one. I then got out of my bedroom and looked around my aparment and saw nothing weird. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"I am going mad." I mumbled and went back to my bedtoom and laid down on my bed.
