After I ate breakfast, I decided to call Bree and ask her about what Rebecca had told me last night. I dialed her number and placed my cell phone on my ear, hearing the phone ringing. I was both mad and annoyed at the entire situation and I needed to get answers. Maybe Rebecca misunderstood? Bree would never hurt a fly so why would she threaten Rebecca? I thought to myself. I didn't know who or what to believe anymore.
"Hey!" I heard Bree say in the phone.
"Hi." I murmured and frowned.
"You sound upset, Sabrina," Bree responded and sighed softly. "What is wrong? Is it about Rachel?" Bree asked.
"I talked to Rebecca last night and she told me some stuff." I answered.
"What did she say?" Bree asked.
"Have you and Jolene spoken to her since I left?" I asked and sighed softly.
"Some but not that much, Bex has kept to herself though." Bree chuckled softly.
"She hates that nickname now." I sighed in defeat.
"Why?" I heard her gawk.
"I don't even know." I answered and shrugged.
"Oh okay," Bree replied, sounding confused.
"Did you guys talk about Jolene's gun?" I asked.
"It came up once but only because we were all at Jolene's apartment talking and hanging out and Rebecca saw it." Bree answered.
"Did you threaten to steal Jolene's gun and use it on Rebecca?" I asked firmly.
"What? No, no. why would we do that?" Bree answered, sounding appalled and shocked.
"Well," I sighed softly. "Rebecca said you did." I added and frowned.
"And you believed her even before asking me or Jolene first?" Bree asked angrily.
"You have been giving her a hard time since day one." I pointed out.
"Because we don't know her, you don't know her." Bree replied.
"You're right, Bree," I replied. "You don't know her at all. Rebecca has been nothing but good to you and this is what she gets?" I snapped at her.
"Didn't you complain about her texting you nonstop that one night after you met not days after it happened?" Bree asked, sounding even more pissed. "Face it, Rebecca has a lot of issues that you or I don't know about, and we know she is a big fan of yours." Bree pointed out.
"She apologized; it has never happened again since then." I pointed out.
"So let me get this straight," Bree laughed. "She does something like that just once and it is cool but you're basically interrogating me over something that never even happened to begin with?" Bree asked as I pictured her slowly shaking her head in anger.
"Bree, I am just-- I don't know." I sighed in defeat.
"Yeah, that makes total sense." Bree replied sarcastically.
"I am just trying to make sense out of it." I responded.
"Well then you are not doing a very good job." Bree snorted.
"You acting defensive is not helping you at all by the way." I replied.
"I am not, I am just saying you need to do more research on Rebecca."
"And ruin her trust? Go behind her back? No way."
"Do you honestly trust her more than me?" Bree asked, gawking.
"No," I sighed and shook my head. "I'm sorry, I should not have given you such a hard time." I apologized, meaning it and praying she would forgive me.
"It's fine but you need to be careful with Rebecca. Check her history." Bree said as I heard a loud sigh.
"Yeah," I murmured softly. "I will do that later today or tonight, it depends on what my family and I do together." I assured her.
"But I got to go; I will see you Monday?" Bree asked, sounding relived.
"I will see you then." I answered, nodding.
"Bye." Bree simply said.
"Bye bye now." I replied and hung up the phone.
