It was late and my flight back to New York was tomorrow. After, I packed my bags, I got ready for bed and laid down on my bed. When I was not with my family hanging out and having fun, I was waiting for answers from Bree and Jolene and so far, I had nothing to work with and my anxiety was so bad, I ended up not being able to sleep as I tossed and turned. I couldn't forget the moment I had found out my so-called best friend was a liar and a crazy person. I did not understand why she would lie and why she would need to lie. I knew she was hiding something from me and my friends. No one would lie for no good reason, right? None of this makes any sense.
My phone buzzed and I checked to see who it was. I hope it is not Rebecca, please, please do not be Rebecca. I had thought to myself as I picked up the phone and sighed softly. The idea of just speaking to her and seeing her ever again face to face after I had figured out the truth made me cringe. I saw Jolene's name in the text notification, and I checked to see what she said and if she and Bree had found anything about Rebecca. I need something that can lead me to the truth.
Hey girl, look, I just got back from Rebecca's house. Bree had to stay at work an extra shift. But anyways! I saw an ID Rebecca had and took I a picture of it. You seriously NEED to see this. Let's just say Rebecca was and still is definitely hiding some shady stuff. Hold on, it is sending right now.
I waited for a minute or two until I saw a picture of her ID, but my eyes instantly went to the name and my mouth made an o shape as I let out a soft gasp and covered my mouth as tears formed in my eyes from terror and shock. Lydia Storm. That was possibly Rebecca's real name but with all lies I had been fed, it was hard to tell if Lydia Storm was her name or another identity she had before I had met her. I then texted Jolene back.
Hey! Thank you so much for this. I will do research and google her and see if I can find any leads. But thanks a lot! I'm sorry I left you both alone with her.
I then quickly put my phone down, getting my laptop and went to google and searched for the name Lydia Storm. The first thing that had popped up was an article and I clicked on it, and I froze as soon as I saw the title of the article.
Lydia Storm, 18, murder of childhood best friend, Natalie Parker, 18.
I saw a picture of Rebecca and Natalie smiling and hugging one another. Natalie was a little bit shorter than Rebecca was, but she had short, curly black hair and big dark brown eyes. If I had seen this on a social media page of hers instead of this article, I would assume that they were the best of friends, and I would not think that they had any sort of toxic friendship whatsoever. I then scrolled little by little, trying to read every word and line carefully. I didn't want to miss a single detail and by the time I had finished the article, I saw that she was last recorded breaking out of the mental hospital she was committed in. I was left in tears and scared. I then thought about what Rebecca had said when we first met at the coffee shop. Rachel is a real pain in the butt though. I remembered laughing. Do you wish you could get rid of her if you could? Rebecca's words echoed in my mind. All the time. My words responded with laughter. If only that were easy. Rebecca's words replied in my mind.
"What if she killed--" I started to say in a soft whisper then I decided to text Bree and Jolene in separate texts, ready to warn them and tell them my theory.
I am going home tomorrow as soon as I can. Watch your backs! I have done some extra digging on Rebecca. We all know that Rebecca Ray is not her real name, but she killed a friend of hers. Bree, I am sorry for doubting you. You were right. I really didn't know her at all. I think she killed Rachel.
I then added the link to the article from my phone and sent the text. I then did some more digging and found a way to contact Rebecca's mom, Norma Storm and I was relieved to see what other information I could get. It had taken me a while to but as soon as I found her Facebook page and then I messaged her.
Hello, my name is Sabrina Hart. I recently meet your daughter; Lydia Storm and I am a friend of hers. However, she has not given me much information about her or her past. I would like to speak to you. I am very worried about her.
I finished it by giving her my cell phone number and had let her know to call me when she could, and I then let out a soft sigh. I was still in shock. Rebecca, or should I say Lydia had lied to me about everything and I was scared of her.
