Cops came by the apartment and questioned all three of us. I was still in a state of shock, but I had managed to give a statement to the cop I was speaking to. It's over, Lydia is dead. Just be calm. You did nothing wrong. I thought to myself as I was talking to an officer.

"And that is what happened." I said, looking at officer Prescott as she stared at me with her green eyes as if she were trying to read me.

"Lydia was a very dangerous human being," Officer Prescott said with a loud sigh. "We have been looking for her ever since she disappeared, I am just sorry you and your friends became victims."

"Are we in any trouble since Lydia is dead?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"No, it was self-defense," Officer Prescott assured me with a warm smile. "You are lucky you have two great friends who are always there for you, never let that go."

"Thank you." I said, smiling back at her.

"You're welcome." Officer Prescott said and walked away.

Jolene and Bree walked over to my side, and we had a big group hug in celebration of escaping a literally living nightmare. We hugged and cried for a good minute or two. "Thank you, guys." I whispered softly as we had let go of each other.

"Is it over?" Jolene asked.

"Yeah," I sighed and smiled at her. "It's finally over."

After we finished our statements, the three of us went outside to a park to clear our minds and try to recover from what we just had went through together. We decided to have a pinic at a park nearby and talk.

"You know what?" I mumbled.

"What?" Jolene responded.

"I think I know what I can write in my book now since my writer's block is gone." I answered.

"Are you going to write about this?" Jolene asked and laughed.

"No," I answered, shaking my head. "I will not give Lydia that much." I snorted.

"Then what will you write about?" Bree asked.

"I think I will write a comedy." I answered, smiling.
